Deemed the "Gregory L. White House" this charming 1910 bungalow was completely remodeled in 2022. With brand new bathrooms & a well-stocked kitchen featuring Beko appliances, you'll enjoy the comfort of a modern home with all the charm of the historic area that you love about Winston-Salem!

Sleep on new king-sized Nectar mattresses in the two main bedrooms, complete with soft & cozy sheets and linens. A modern sofa in the front living room converts to a comfy bed for extra guests.

Get some sunshine and fresh air on the quaint and private back patio area, featuring two single loungers and an outdoor couch. Prefer some company? There's plenty of additional outside seating available at the Tex Mex BBQ restaurant that's essentially in our backyard.

Enjoy our full list of modern amenities: wireless Internet, Smart TV, washer & dryer, coffee maker, instant espresso machine, stove/oven, microwave, refridgerator, ice maker, and ceiling fans in each bedroom.

We love this house. It is clean, comfortable, and in a great location. All the appliances, beds, and other furniture are new. The host made everything so easy. Just behind the house is a great BBQ/TexMex restaurant called East of Texas, which is not to be missed.

One of the best stays we've ever had. The host was amazing and extremely responsive. The beds were some of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in. The location was near several restaurants that we could walk to. We will definitely stay here again!

Outstanding… The house was so clean and the location was perfect. We walked to the restaurant by the house. We had all our meals in the evening there it was just a wonderful place to stay and we thank our host who was so responsive to our needs.

We were visiting for our 35th WFU reunion. This house was perfect for 4 of us. Two spacious bathrooms, two living spaces and kitchen. Probably the cleanest rental we have been in and so cute! There was a restaurant quite literally in the backyard with a beer garden ( that was great!) but amazingly bedrooms were very quiet! Absolutely amazing and pray it’s open next time we visit! Thanks Claire!

This little place was great for my family who was visiting to celebrate our mother's birthday. The two living spaces (living room and den that connected to the kitchen) were useful so the kids could play in the living room and the adults hung out in the den. When we first arrived we were a little surprised by how close the outdoor restaurant was and were concerned about noise but it was great! We ate dinner there and the kids could walk back to play while the adults hung out. It was not noisy at all and the food was delicious! Claire was a wonderful host.

We think this house is nicely upgraded and the beds are super comfortable. Everything is clean and towels so fluffy. It has plenty of seating areas for work and casual entertaining. We liked that there are a few eateries within walking distance. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the bar/ restaurant behind the house is very noisy. Tuesday evening they were having a dance lesson; the music and people kept going for hours. We closed the blinds for privacy. We had to get up early for our flights so sleeping was a challenge.

Fantastic stay at the beautiful Poplar house! Claire and Joe are great hosts, they made it all easy during check in and check out, communicated everything in advance and during the stay. Everything you need to enjoy the stay is provided. The house is just perfect and so comfortable. This is definitely a home I will be coming back to. The house sits on a lively space. East of Texas is always hopping and definitely a place to go eat while you stay here. Thank you Claire and Joe for being great hosts and allowing my family to enjoy this lovely home.

Perfection! Extremely clean! We came to town to see a show and go to Kaleidium and this location was ideal. The beds and all the blankets were super comfy. The Tex Mex restaurant was wonderful…we ate everything at the house instead of in the outdoor restaurant seating that surrounded the house. We would definitely return happily!Only one small suggestion-we were afraid to turn the lights on in the kitchen and tv area Friday night because everyone at the restaurant could have seen us inside. Having the option of heavier curtains in that area would have helped with privacy. Thank you!

This very sweet cottage was perfect for spending time with a best friend and exploring WS. It is just a lovely space and we felt very comfortable, safe and in easy proximity to the places we wanted to visit. Thank you for allowing us this respite!

Everything was great. It was bit loud the first two nights, it was Memorial weekend. But the location was perfect, close to everything. So clean and excellent host directions.

We would stay year round

The pictures are really representative. Loved the FEEL. Has everything needed. Clean and well appointed. We were attending a conference at the Benton Convention Center. So quick to drive. Came back for one lunch and all dinners. Sat on the porch on the 2 swing chairs. Lively Restaurant Terrace in the back of the house but all quiets down around 10 pm, didn’t bother us. We absolutely enjoyed our stay The beds are heavenly. Very nice and responsive hosts. Thank you Claire & Joe.
