The location of this condo could not have been better. To wake up with the ocean and swimming pool right in front of you is wonderful. The condo was decorated very nicely, and we especially liked the beautiful stained glass window in the master bedroom. The grounds are exceptionally maintained, the pool pristine. However, there were things that did make our visit frustrating. First, we did not receive very accurate directions to the condo You must exit the main road onto a frontage road to reach the condo. This wasn't relayed to us so it took us over an hour and 1/2 to find it. Second, we were to call Jordi upon our arrival but we didn't have phone service. (Recommendation - be sure to sign up for international calling before you go.) Or better yet, it would be helpful for the condo to have Vonage or some other local phone service like the condo across the pool has). Finally, the condo continually had ants, which was annoying. Luckily a housekeeper came in and put out ant bait. Regardless of these frustrations, we still had a wonderful time, ate breakfast on the patio every morning and cherished our experience at this beautiful place.
We ate at the Money Bar - awesome food, entertainment, and sunset! We ate at Sr. Frogs - bad food, and the waiters kept touching us, massaging us, hugging us. Ugh! We also took the ferry to Playa Del Carmen to Xcaret. The ferry is cheap ($10 one way, easy to access, very comfortable, and fast). Parking in Cozumel is a challenge. We really enjoyed Xcaret - especially floating the underground rivers and the musical show. Expensive but worth it. The food there was so-so, which we expect at those types of parks.
