Great vacation

We had a wonderful time at this property with our two children (14 and 7). The location itself is great, only a short 5 minute walk away from the beach and close to many great day trip locations in the area. The house is a quaint little cottage, which was spacious enough for us 4 (plus it has a nice patio and small garden). Everything was very clean when we arrived and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we could need for cooking. The beach is private and as a special bonus offers a sandbank you can walk out to during low tide. Perfect for hunting snails, hermit crabs etc. The hosts were amazing (the best we ever encountered in a rental property), were quick to respond and very courteous. We stayed at this property when hurricane Henri was on course for CT and decided to drive home to wait out the storm. The hosts stayed in contact with us and we were able to return 2 days later to continue our vacation. Our daughters were so comfortable in this house as were we and we definitely plan to return.

Our rating for this cottage.

The cleanliness of this rental cottage both inside and outside was less then we acceptable. The cottage windows were very dirty. The cooking pans and utensils were not very clean. The floors were dusty and dirty. We cannot give this cottage a high rating. We would not consider returning to this rental.

Charming beach stay

Great time at beach close by and location was convenient. Though house is small, we spent most time outside and loved our vacation. Owners totally accessible and offered lots of options for the kids.

The beach was as perfect as perfect can be clean beautiful white sand short walks from the house

A lovely place for a small family just the right kind of place for children lovely fenced in area nice outdoor shower so convenient just a short walk down the street to the beach benches available to sit in the evening.

Beach week

This beach is AWESOME!!! Great sand, not too busy, and the sand bar is perfect for a young child. Our 5 year old son loved it. Will be looking to come back next year.

Best Week!!!!

My kids and I absolutely loved this adorable cottage! It was in a beautiful neighborhood and so close to the beach. We couldn't get enough of the sand and water! The location was also super close to stores and restaurants. It was so sad to have to leave! We are hoping to come back next summer. Thanks Sue and Tim!!!

Cute little home, Great location!

Very cute home with small private fenced in backyard. Nice beach within walking distance even with two small kids! The location couldn’t be better! Walking distance to Dairy Queen and Lenny and Joes. Short drive to Essex Steam Train, Walgreens, Grocery stores.

This home says "come on in and stay awhile". It feels like home. You can cook in if you want. The master bed is very confortable. The house is a very short distance to the beach which is beautiful even when its 7° out. The sunset is gorgeous. I can't say enough about how cute it is! We will return for sure! The owners are readily available for whatever you need.

Grove Beach Get Away!

This was our second stay we love this small place very cozy and cute décor. The owners are great about answering any questions quickly. The air-conditioning was a nice addition this year. It has a great yard to grill in and nice and private. It is a short stroll to the beach and stores which was convenient . We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to next year!

Amazing!

This was our first time renting ever. Our experience was great from the start. The house was clean and so well organized . Literally had everything we needed. The best part was waking up and walking a short way to the beach. My seven year old had the best time, and absolutely loved the sand bar at low tide. Would definitely recommend to anyone, and would love to stay again next year! Thank you Sue and Tim!

Adorable beach cottage!

This little cottage was the perfect size for three of us. It’s situated in a lovely neighborhood, very clean and well-decorated, and best of all, a very short walk from the beach. Westbrook has a lot of good restaurants nearby and we spent a day shopping at the nearby outlets as well. The owners were very responsive and easy to work with. We enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend it for a laid-back week at the beach!

Great little cottage for a girls weekend. Short walk to a nice beach and the owners provided sand chairs to take to the beach. Private backyard with table and chairs is a plus.
