We had a wonderful week at this cozy cottage. It had everything we needed. And the hosts were incredibly welcoming, full of helpful information about places to bicycle and restaurants to try. We will look forward to coming back to this magical little place.

House was clean. It was comfortable. The location was great. We found the “free only” tv channels difficult to use. We were initially only given two wash cloths for a seven day stay. When we mentioned this to the homeowner, he left 4 more washcloths—not really what we expected.

We stayed here over the Christmas period and overall had an awesome experience. Al the owner was easy to communicate with, and was very helpful in every way, he even cleared the driveway and created a path for us after 6 to 8 inches of snow fell overnight. The amenities provided were great — everything we needed was there, and the place was clean and functional.That said, the space would really benefit from some updates. The bathroom and kitchen are very small and could use refreshing, and removing some of the extra furniture would make the place feel much more open and comfortable. In a space this size, less really is more.One other important note: the bed is a double, which just isn’t large enough for two adults of average height and size. A queen bed would make a huge difference to comfort and sleep quality.This tiny cottage provided us with a fantastic stay and we are truly grateful to Al, but with a few thoughtful updates. With some decluttering, modernizing, and a bed upgrade, it would truly shine even more.This is just my opinion, but even so, I would definately stay here again. Old Saybrook is a super awesome town that has everything you need for an unforgettable stay.Thank you Again Al

The cottage was compact and situated on a private and spacious lawn only a stone's throw from a scenic cove and offered close proximity to whatever amenities you could wish for, for dining, tourism or the local beach. The check in was the easiest I had ever encountered. Door was open...key was on the table and that's how you departed. One note, the bathroom was small and the shower was narrow. A private patio included a gas grill and table, chairs and umbrella, plus several reclining lawn chairs. 10 out of ten for me!

The side deck is very private as there are plantings that have grown in. I slept with the windows open and the neighborhood is extremely quiet. The only sounds I heard were that of chirping insects. While this cottage is on the property of a larger house, I never once saw or heard the occupants of the house. It was a very peaceful getaway.

The cottage and surrounding yard are great and the proximity to South Cove and Causeway allow for some great walking. A fantastic place to stay

Vacation get-away

We had a few days mid-week to get away from work etc and this location met our needs perfectly. Clean, comfortable, great restaurants and walks nearby and our dog was very happy to have lots of space. Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect location!

The cottage was so cute and very clean. The host kept us up to date every step of the process making check in so easy. The cottage had everything you need for a wonderful stay. The grounds were well maintained and the little deck was a very nice place to relax. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Quaint and Comfy

We stayed for a wedding near by at the Inn down the street. Quiet, close to the water and clean. Check in was very organized and we had no issues.
