We stayed here over the Christmas period and overall had an awesome experience. Al the owner was easy to communicate with, and was very helpful in every way, he even cleared the driveway and created a path for us after 6 to 8 inches of snow fell overnight. The amenities provided were great — everything we needed was there, and the place was clean and functional. That said, the space would really benefit from some updates. The bathroom and kitchen are very small and could use refreshing, and removing some of the extra furniture would make the place feel much more open and comfortable. In a space this size, less really is more. One other important note: the bed is a double, which just isn’t large enough for two adults of average height and size. A queen bed would make a huge difference to comfort and sleep quality. This tiny cottage provided us with a fantastic stay and we are truly grateful to Al, but with a few thoughtful updates. With some decluttering, modernizing, and a bed upgrade, it would truly shine even more. This is just my opinion, but even so, I would definately stay here again. Old Saybrook is a super awesome town that has everything you need for an unforgettable stay.Thank you Again Al
