PLEASE read all of the reviews b4 you book. We arrived to a wet main floor & dripping ceiling along with an awful wet moldy stench that hits you hard when you walk in, a flooded second floor bedroom & soaked bed, & a flooded master bedroom closet on the top floor. From what you ask? The A/C unit duct-taped vent pipe(?) in the master bedroom closet which had overflowed a large catch bowl on the shelf. That, in turn, leaked down the walls to the second-floor into a waste basket, which also had overflowed onto the floor & leaked down to the first-floor ceiling & floor making a small pond. We had to do the cleanup at 8:30 pm.A Swiffer duster & handle discarded in the driveway.Nightly scary raccoon invasions between 3 – 5 a.m., which sounded like they were in the bedrooms! Our dog wouldn't drink the waterThe A/C went out on the 2nd day. We were instructed on how to fix. Good thing I'm over 6 ft tall. We’re not clean freaks, but this place is filthy. We used plastic utensils & paper plates. The lights are full of dead insects, the grill no way, and on and on. It certainly is “rustic,” there’s plenty of rust to go around! The entrance door could use a dead bolt lock for better security.Spectacular views, fantastic private setting. Plenty of sea wildlife on display. The private natural beach is an easy 1 mile walk. Unfortunately, all of this is far outweighed by the negatives.Years of neglect & a serious lack of maintenance. It’s a shame because the place is very unique.
