We were very excited about our stay given the layout and location. Our party included two married couple, one with their two year old. The layout and size of the condo was absolutely perfect for our group. The view was incredible and our basic needs were met. Unfortunately, there were many parts that were only that - “basic” and “just ok”.
The check-in process was a terrible experience, though we cannot say if that was due to Vacasa, VRBO or the actual property itself. We tried the code provided and it would not work. After 30 minutes with Vacasa customer service giving us multiple alternate codes with no success, we were told they would need to “send a local team” but could provide no time estimate, despite us waiting in the summer heat with all our belongings and a two year old toddler. The “ticket” was finally escalated to the property manager who called immediately with a code to get us in, which was frustrating since the property manager could have seemingly solved all our problems immediately and she indicated to call her directly going forward (thank you Jackie!)
After the frustrating check-in process, we were disappointed with the unit in many ways. Notably, it is very outdated and would benefit tremendously with some seemingly simple and low-cost fixes and updates, such as fixing the broken kitchen sprayer faucet or replacing the bathroom fixtures. The AC was also inconsistent and would not cool the bedrooms.
Overall great potential but needs some TLC.
