Small, quiet upscale oceanfront condo in north Kihei

Impressive and nicely styled 550sqft condo about 30 yards from the beach. Full oceanfront views from LR and balcony! Good, high quality furniture and kitchen equipment: Ninja blender, All Clad cookware, beautiful dishes, etc. Soothing color choices for the walls. Small space but it reads large because of design choices and attention to detail. Cross breezes are cool at night. Slept with windows open and heard the surf all night long. Very relaxing! The property has about 50 units. It’s not a dense property so not a lot of people milling around. This was also a corner unit at the end of a hallway and felt very private. Nicely attended grounds with a tree covered, serene green space adjacent to the building overlooking the ocean. If you want quiet, beautiful and peaceful this place is for you!

Gorgeous inside and out

Beautiful and tastefully decorated- everything very clean, great beachfront view!! Not in the more crowded, touristy areas but only 5 min drive.

Condo was fully equipped and any concerns were addressed immediately. The location is close to all the things in Kihei and so convenient for water adventures in Maalaea Harbor. We also love to walk over to Sugar Beach Rsrt. and have a snack and a Mai Tai at Dina's.

Unit 501 in Kealia Resort

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was as same as advertised/pictured. Bed is very comfy (King size). The bathroom is clean with a small window, and the water pressure is great; no mold/mildew and clean tiles. A specious living room leading to a balcony with the great ocean view that can be seen from the living room's huge windows too. In balcony to your left, you see the highway and the Haleakala crater (mountain), which they can be seen from the bedroom's window also. The cars' sounds didn't bother me in the balcony due to the beautiful ocean's sound. No cars' sounds behind the closed window in the bedroom. In fact, the lawn mower and blower's sounds twice a week were stressful in the morning while I was drinking my coffee and listening to the ocean, but I understand they had to take care of the lawn/garden. There are two beach chairs & one umbrella in the house. No magnify mirror in the bathroom. The kitchen has appliances & all kinds of dishes/pots/utensils. The location is great and 5 min. drive (10 min. walk) to Sugar Beach Baker for coffee and pastry and/or ABC store to find sunscreen, swim items, food, water, & more and/or the small farmer market to buy fresh fruits/veg. Drive 30 min. north to get to Lahaina to visit its beautiful city & shopping- street/park/restaurants/harbor. Or, drive toward south to explore amazing beaches, stores/restaurants. Kealia resort has a quiet & less crowded front beach and far to the left in the ocean you can see the Molikini island and Halealawa island. This ocean is ideal for swimming. The only issue I had in the unit was the small, tiny, & speedy ants in the kitchen. They were on the walls next to the washing machine, refrigerator, and a few found in the bathroom. I used bug spray (was under the sink). They were gone for a few days but reappeared again. I wrote a note for the staff. The manager, Sheri, is a very kind and helpful person and it was great to know her. It was a memorable/joyful stay and would stay in Kealia Resort a

Epic views everyday

Although smallish this condo makes up for it with everything starting with the views everyday. The condo has everything we needed. The room was thoughtfully outfitted for everything we needed. The kitchen provided all the necessary equipment for our needs. The bedroom also had plenty of linens and comfort. The living room was also comfortable to relax. The Lanai was good for meals or relaxing overlooking the ocean. The grounds were well kept and the pool was clean. The parking garage kept our car clean dry and secure. Everything was easily accessed by their elevator. The beach was never crowded and easy to access. We found a great bakery within walking distance down the beach next to a convenience store. The condo is centrally located to get anywhere around the island or just stay right there. Just 10 minutes to restaurants downtown Kihei. And 10 minutes to the harbor for boating activities. We enjoyed all of it. We’ve stayed at a bunch of condos on the island’s and this one hits all the right notes for us. The road noise in the commuting hours is a drawback but the evenings are quiet. Out on the lanai you don’t notice it over the sound of the waves.

We will go again to the same place. They should make this place a 55+ place. Mostly those above that age but there were two young kids that week that spent many hours in the pool screaming.

"Near Perfect Vacation"

This was my fiancé's first trip to Hawaii (and his 50th state)! And he was blown away. While the unit is small, it has everything a couple could possibly want. Incredible sunrises and sunsets from the lanai. Great views from the living area and kitchen. Very comfortable king-size bed. We walked the beach every day, and took a dip in the pool most days. There is a communal pool toy box, which was a nice touch. North Kihei location is perfect - centrally located. Things we did - submarine trip with Atlantis Submarines Maui was amazing. Dinner at Ekolu kitchen (the food and service were amazing). We went to the Cinnamon Roll place - 45 minute wait on a weekday morning, but good food. We went to the Maui Ocean Center Aquarium, and had lunch at the restaurant (food wasn't that great, but the view was nice, and they seduced us with the $5 MaiTais). Went to watch the surfers at North Shore and saw lots of sea turtles too. We saw sea turtles out in front of the condo and had fun body surfing there too. Beautiful trip. Can't wait to return. Thank you for the wonderful home away from home.

Felt home with beautiful views

Awesome beach view from balcony and the sound of waves was very relaxing. House was compact, neatly organised with good furnitures. Ah the kitchen, it’s stuffed with all necessities from utensils to groceries. As we stayed for a week that was very useful to cook occasionally. They have beach mats, chairs, umbrellas, loads of towels. In unit laundry was helpful to wash wet clothes. The internet was little slow but not a concern though. We enjoyed our stay.

Condo needs to be deep cleaned and amenity list needs updating

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Kealia Resort is in a great location, has beautiful outdoor grounds, and is centrally located right on beautiful Sugar Beach. We have been renting condos in Hawaii for 15 years and condo #501 in this complex is the worst we have experienced. This unit seriously needs to be deep cleaned and the owners need to pay attention to the condition of the unit. The front of the cabinets are grimy with dried grease and dirt. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived. The floor mat in the kitchen was disgustingly dirty and sticky. There was old food wrapper trash behind the couch that we could see from the front entrance. There was so much dust underneath and behind the TV cabinet, we could see it from the front and side of the unit. The dining room chairs are filthy and stained. We ended up spending time cleaning so we could be comfortable staying there! If the owner is counting on the management or cleaning company to take care of their condo, they are definitely NOT getting their money's worth. In addition, we checked ahead of time to see if the condo had a cooler we could use. We were told yes, there was a cooler, so we did not pack ours. There was not a cooler, so we ended up having to purchase another one. The amenities show a DVD player, so we packed movies to watch. As it turns out, the TV and DVD player are not compatible, so the unusable DVD player sits unplugged on the shelf. There are signs EVERYWHERE on the property that masks must be worn due to covid-19 concerns, which we were happy to comply with. However, when we went into the office, the person working behind the counter was not wearing a mask! We had a fun vacation regardless of the very disappointing condo. We definitely do NOT recommend this particular unit.

Kealia Condo 501, N Kihei Maui

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed countless times in Kealia - in various condos. This was the first time in 501 and any of the condos ending in 1. 501 is attractively furnished and decorated. There is a full-on view of the ocean from the main room and the kitchen. The condo has upgraded bathroom and kitchen. We mainly eat in, so found the kitchen very well equipped and enjoyed the variety of dishes. ***The bedroom has a comfortable king size bed. Being on the side of the building, there is street noise which did bother us at night so we mainly slept with the window shut. The lanai also on the side of the building (but with a full on ocean view) does looks down on the Sugar Beach condo parking and also has street noise. We are not fans of the high top tables; it is difficult to get the table close to one to eat with the high chairs.

Quiet, beachfront getaway

The room was exceptionally clean and well stocked with beach gear, towels and kitchen supplies! The location was great, with miles of beach front for walking and quieter than South Kihei or Kaanapali resort areas.

Relax with the ocean

The property was amazing. It was so close to sandy beach for long walks or enjoying the water. We loved to hear the crashing waves all night long. Condo had everything we needed. Pool was never crowded. We had great weather in Kihei.

Maui Paradise

Fabulous place, from value to location to amenities, all made our stay enjoyable. The beach was beautiful, easy to swim in the ocean, lounge chairs on the grass behind the beach were wonderful. Would love to return.

We had a wonderful peaceful stay and have said multiple times we will be back!!! Place was clean, bed was comfortable, kitchen was stocked as was the bathroom. You have beach towels and chairs available to you. We would definitely book again 🌺

Great location and well supplied condo

My husband and I spent 10 nights at this condo and it was perfect for the two of us. It was nice that there was a washer and dryer in the unit, as well as a cooler, beach chairs, beach towels, and a surplus of kitchen items. We did day trips every day and it was in a very central location to all of the parts of the island for us. Beach, pool area, and lawn were quiet most of the time. Shower pressure was very good. Enjoyed having keyless entry and the garage door opener. Enjoyed watching the whales and sunsets from our lanai overlooking the pool and ocean. Very comfortable place to stay for 2 people.

Loved being close to the beach, Condo was fully stocked-kitchen,towels,linens,soaps,everything .

Great time and have already started planning our next trip to Maui. Bed was soft and there is road noise mornings and evenings.
