Beautiful Condo!

The condo was exactly how the owner describes, clean, comfortable, well stocked with a beautiful view of Portage Lake. If we are back in the area we will most definitely stay again! Thank you to our hosts for such great hospitality!

Cute Lakeside Getaway

We had some friends getting married in Onekama (and having never been to this part of the state) we’re looking for a good place to bunk up between the festivities. We’re so delighted to have found this property, it was charming, clean and gf an absolutely breathtaking view over the lake. Our host was great at communicating to us and even offered to let us stay for longer than we had booked. Highly recommend this property and a great intro to this cute town!

Just disappointed there was an extra $20 per night per fee. This was not disclosed until we arrived. Other than this - wonderful facility and host.

Wonderful lake views!

Thank you for allowing us to stay at your property! We loved the lake views, paddle boarding in the mornings or evenings, sunsets on the dock, swimming from the property to the beach at the park, going for hikes, and walking around the town! Glen Park was a really great hike nearby. The condo has all the amenities you need and a nice welcome basket that was so handy! The building is a little older and worn, but it is a great value at this price. Thanks!

A little piece of Lake Heaven

If you love lake life... it doesn't get much better than this! The views from you windows, balcony & backyard are Amazing! Our hosts, Jim & Lilian, are out of this world! It really feels like home away from home! They have thought of all the "little" things that make an impactful difference! They are also very responsive to any questions and are very hospitable! The condo is very clean and well kept. The lake is clear and although there is activity (boats, etc.) It is still pretty quiet! It's all soothing wave noise! There are numerous hiking trails nearby or you can make a day trip to Traverse City or Sleepy Bear Dunes! Quiet little community, not much around for groceries, etc. We just drove to Manistee 10-12 minutes away for a Meijer or other stores for our last minute or forgotten items. We look forward to staying here again!

Great get away

We had so much fun in Onekama (and surrounding cities/towns). The property was perfect: comfortable inside space to sleep and relax, and a great outside space; firepit, chairs, and a swing. Also you get the best of both worlds with some shade and some sun. We brought our own kayaks, and there was a place on site to put them when we were done so we didn't have to trailer them each day. - check out the M22 Grill for diner type cooking with friendly staff. We already have tentative reservations for next year. Jim and Lillian were great to work with, they were very nice and the snacks they left us were a nice touch.

So clean and right on the lake! So nice to wake up to in the morning. Jim was quickly available for all questions and helped me with late check in and check out. Great to work with! Definitely recommended!

Nice place

Our family of 5 had a really good Vacation in Onekama. All the people were very friendly and helpful. This is our fourth trip to Michigan and this one is at the top. We spent the mornings fishing and the afternoons on the beach.

Truly home away from home

We are a retired couple and live in the unit below this rental. Jim owned an educational publishing business and Lillian was a preschool teacher. We believe in respecting your privacy while doing everything we can to help make your stay as enjoyable as possible! We rented here ourselves in June 2018, and loved it so much we were fortunate to be able to purchase it in late 2018 and move here from California!

We spent the entire summer of 2018 in Michigan looking for the right retirement property. We looked at every condo for sale between Muskegon and Petoskey, and we knew immediately this was the one for us! The location right in the middle of the peaceful village of Onekama and the beautiful, big, lawn overlooking Portage Lake provide you with a deep sense of peace and relaxation as soon as you arrive!

Hopefully the pictures speak for themselves! Portage Lake is famous for its beauty and great fishing, and the channel to Lake Michigan provides easy access to the big lake as well. And summer evenings aren't complete without a stroll two doors down for some ice cream at Papa J's!
