The property was awesome and Chad was a prompt communicator and great host. The log cabin was a charming home base for our family as we explored the North Shore for the first time. We played a few of the cabin's many board games in between excursions to Two Harbors and Gooseberry State Park. All of the amenities were very comfortable. We had a lovely stay!

We had a great stay at Chad’s place! The house was clean and stocked with everything we needed. There was easy access to the house, Two Harbors, and the Superior Hiking Trail trailheads we were using. Chad was a super responsive host! We would definitely stay again!

The location and cabin are beautiful. Chad was very responsive when we had an issue with the AC and made sure that we were comfortable and it was taken care of. The kitchen had everything we needed to comfortably make a few meals, and the grill was a perk as well. The layout works well for 2 couples with or without kids - allows for privacy and communal space. Strongly recommend this rental!

The home was very nice and worked well for our small bachelor party group. It was clean, comfortable, and provided a great space for us to relax. The location was also convenient, with easy access to the main highway.The only issue we encountered was with the bedroom access and pricing. When we booked through VRBO, we entered that we had six guests, so we expected the advertised price to include accommodations for everyone. However, after making the reservation, the owner notified us that only the main master bedroom would be unlocked. We were informed that each additional bedroom required an extra charge of 50 per room, per night to access them.I'm not sure if this is an issue with the VRBO listing or how the pricing is displayed on the platform, but it was unexpected and resulted in additional costs that we weren't anticipating when booking. It would be helpful if this information were made more clear during the booking process.Overall, despite the surprise with the bedroom charges, the home itself was very nice, clean, and fit our group's needs well.

We completely understand your frustration regarding the bedroom pricing, and we sincerely apologize for the unexpected surprise. Our goal is to keep costs fair: we price the base rate lower so smaller groups only pay for the master bedroom and the common spaces, rather than being forced to pay for a full 3-bedroom house they won't use. Unfortunately, booking platforms (like VRBO and Airbnb) do not offer a "pay-per-room" pricing tool. To work around this limitation, we feature this policy at the very top of our listing description and proactively message guests. However, we have found that these platforms occasionally reformat or rearrange listing descriptions without our knowledge, which can hide this crucial detail. We are actively looking into better ways to display this within the constraints of the booking platforms so it is impossible to miss during checkout and are always looking to see if the platforms update and are offering a pay per room option that we can update to. Thank you again for your valuable feedback and your stay on the North Shore!

Clean and beautiful home. Beds were very comfortable. Love the individual heating in each room- really nice that everyone could choose how warm or cool they wanted to sleep. Gorgeous views and very responsive host.

Great place!

We really enjoyed staying here with our adult children. Plenty of room to gather and have dinner, hang out by the fire and play games. Very nice, plan to return someday.

We loved the beautiful, peaceful cabin in the woods! It was the perfect spot for us. The host was quick to reply to any questions. The cabin was sparkling clean and the view from the deck was awesome.

We enjoyed a very nice time at this VRBO vacation rental. Chad does a great job with the place. He’s also very caring and very approachable for anything that you might need. It’s a very nice setting and close to the many State Parks along the North Shore. I would definitely recommend this log home for anybody looking for a place to stay.
