Charming stay and location

We could not have imagined a more comfortable and charming three week stay in Madrid. The apartment is well appointed and wonderfully located in the central heart of old Madrid. Rosario is a gracious host.

A perfect haven in a perfect location

What a perfect place for your Madrid adventure. Right in the heart of the old town, with its food and culture and history. But close the front door, and you are in your own little sanctuary. The apartment has everything that you need and Oscar was such a fantastic host, giving us great tips on making the most of our time in Madrid.

Comfortable apartment in heart of city

Very clean and well-maintained/furnished apartment in a great location in Madrid. Nice amount of space. Apartment is supplied with all we needed (small kitchen, coffee, shampoo, soap, internet, etc). Elevator and A/C were both appreciated, and keys to get in and out were easy to use. The hosts are very responsive and were there to meet us at apartment. They provided dining recommendations on request, and there are great places to eat literally steps from the front door. The fun Mercado de San Miguel food hall is close by, but there are many choices for food/drink all within 1-2 blocks. Not super close to the Metro, but it is only 2-3 blocks away. Bed was a bit firm and not great water temp/pressure in shower, but those are small complaints. We would easily stay here again.

Fantastic apartment

Everything was perfect from checking in to leaving Oscar is so helpful The apartment is immaculate and there is an elevator to that floor which is very helpful when taking heavy luggage up to the apartment It’s in a great central area and I chose it because the reviews said it is quiet. The bedroom is really quiet as it’s in a spacious corner attic. The bed is good quality so sleep is comfortable. It’s a spacious apartment and the windows have great views over the city It’s also equipped with everything you need and top quality furnishings There’s more than enough room for 2 people and my niece stayed one night on the sofa bed which is also comfortable I was on my own most of the time but I felt secure as the doors and locks are top quality I have stayed many times in Madrid but this is the best apartment yet. Oscar messaged me more than once to ask if everything was ok. He has great info of the city and restaurants I could not fault it I will definitely stay here again Thanks

Lovely apartment

Very comfortable apartment. Lots of room and well equipped. Although we did not cook, it looked like there was everything we would need to prepare a meal in the apartment. Rosa gave us some tips on where to go in Madrid, and indicated on a map where the best areas to go for restaurants beyond the tourist area around Plaza Mayor.

Perfect location and apartment

Perfect central location!

A lovely, well-placed apartment

The apartment is situated in a perfect location close to Plaza Mayor, but not so close as to be loud. Some of the best tapas bars—and Restaurante Botin—are less than 500 feet away. The hosts are gracious and provided useful information, as well. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this venue to anyone wishing to be near the heart of Madrid.

¡Fabuloso!

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful, perfectly located, comfortable place for our time in Madrid. Rosa responded so quickly every time we had questions, and Oscar was there waiting for us when we stepped out of the taxi in front of the apartment. Such excellent hosts! The apartment was right there in the center of the action. We were able to visit all the attractions from El Prado Museum to el Palacio Real without the need of taxis, busses, or the metro. A great city for walking. The apartment was perfectly clean, quiet, light and airy, updated and modern. And, very important, a comfortable mattress! Carole and I could not have been more satisfied. Thank you Rosa and Oscar!

Great place to stay in Madrid

We LOVED our stay here. The apartment is so cute and comfortable. The location is outstanding. So much to do right outside the front door. Oscar and Rosa were great with communication. All went smoothly. Loved this place.

Perfect location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this clean and comfortable apartment in the heart of Madrid. It’s location is perfect, being in a quiet pedestrian street yet close to lots of restaurants and the historic parts of this beautiful city. Oscar and Rosa provided everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable. We were also very appreciative of them being so accommodating with our early arrival. Great location, helpful owners, beautiful, modern apartment - highly recommended

We had a great experience with this rental. The location is great - walking distance from many attractions, plenty of good restaurants and bars too. Short walk away from metro station and buses. The apartment was excellent - super clean, modern, stylish, had everything you might need including a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, coffee maker etc. I would definitely stay again.

Quiet in the Heart of Madrid

We enjoyed six nights staying in this beautiful apartment and would book it again without reservation. The unit is bigger than the pictures suggest, impeccably decorated, and furnished with everything we needed. We were amazed at the efficient use of space included plenty of closet and drawer space for our belongings. The bed has one of the most comfortably mattresses we ever had in a rental. Since it is an upper unit on a very quiet side street, the late night street life was not at all disturbing. The temperatures in Madrid while we were there (late October) were perfect so we did not have to use either the heater or the air conditioning unit but they are modern and located to serve all of the spaces. As others have said, the location is perfect, close to some of the best eating and attractions in the city, a five minute walk to a Metro station serving Line 1 and less than 10 minutes to others. Public transport from and to the airport is easy. The windows in the apartment are high dormer/garret windows so there are only rooftop and sky views (unless you stand on a chair). No matter because we didn't come to Madrid to look out from our apartment windows. The apartment is very well lit to compensate for the modest natural lighting. Our communications with Oscar and Rosa both before and during our stay were excellent. Our lousy cell phone service caused a minor glitch connecting with them upon our arrival and they were very patient and kind. The information they provided about navigating the city and choosing restaurants and tapas bars was extremely helpful. We are grateful for our lovely experiences in Madrid and appreciate Rosa and Oscar's warm hospitality. Ruth Ann and Jim University Place, WA, USA

A fabulous place to stay in Madrid!

We were extremely pleased with our stay in this conveniently located apartment. We were there for 6 nights. Rosa and Oscar were very gracious and helpful hosts. They communicated promptly with us before and during our stay. They kindly allowed us to keep our luggage in the apartment several hours past the stated checkout time, which we appreciated. The apartment is quite spacious. It has 3 distinct areas: a bedroom, a good-sized kitchen, and a comfortable combination dining/living room area. Everything is in good repair, and the apartment is very tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped and we were able to eat a number of meals there very comfortably and easily. Although the apartment is located in an area with both auto and pedestrian traffic, the building is not on a busy street. The apartment was quiet at night, which we appreciated, as we are sensitive to noise when we sleep. We would definitely stay there again.

Loved this place - will come again

This could be one of the best properties we've ever rented. It was immaculate, well appointed and wonderfully located. Oscar and Rosa were gracious hosts, available if we needed them, and more than willing to provide information about neighborhood activities and dinner options. The fact that the apartment is located on a pedestrian-only street makes this property one in a million - no constant traffic noise, only the hum of local activities and the lovely bells from nearby churches. We were immediately located to a pedestrian-only plaza with two wonderful restaurants - it provided the perfect place to people (and dog) watch. Madrid is a wonderful place and this apartment provided the perfect landing spot for our adventures.

Great location, great communication with Oscar and Rosa.

This is a bright, simply and efficiently designed apartment and decorated with an artistic eye. The location is perfect, about 5-10 minute walk to the Metro and for sightseeing places within walking distance. It is just off a busy street which makes it a relatively quiet place to stay. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. Oscar met us at the apartment to check us in and gave us a lot of great ideas for things to do and places to eat. I highly recommend this apartment and my husband and I would stay here again.

Historic Madrid

We had an excellent stay in Rosa and Oscar’s apartment. We had everything that we needed and it’s very clean and comfortable. The location is perfect to explore historic Madrid, just a very short walk to Plaza Mayor yet in a quiet location to get a good night’s sleep. We enjoyed breakfast every morning at the Federal cafe where we could sit outside in the beautiful courtyard just behind the apartment.

Excellent property, location and host!

The apartment was great. We have a one year old daughter and the host Rosa provided a play pen. The host is extremely thoughtful and pays attention to detail— leaving things like maps and travel books in the unit as an added touch. Would definitely stay there again. The property is located right behind plaza mayor and Mercado San Miguel— close enough to walk over in a couple of minutes but far enough to be away from the noise at night. Excellent!
