Very remote with great views of the river. It would have been nice if there were kayaks for us to use. The house was very old and dark, and smelled of mold and mildew. The acrid sewer gases dissipated after the care giver poured chlorax bleach down the sink.

Great property on the river with long dock, tremendous porch, great views, lots of wildlife, well-furnished kitchen, and nice quiet environment at end of the road. Host comm and instructions very beneficial. Greatly enjoyed our stay.

River Vacation

Fair, Add was misleading stating all fees are included. TV didn’t work for 1’st two days, no canoe as stated in the add. Kitchen was fine as far as I know, we didn’t cook while there.

The house had everything that we had expected. The host was very hospitable. The river was really nice. We saw wildlife and fished most days.

Sitting by the dock of the bay

While it is a river and not a bay, you’d never know it. It’s as wide as the Hudson and pretty as a picture. Heck, I even caught some fish off the dock! The home is GREAT for families and there was plenty to do. Town and supplies were a short 25 minutes. What a great place!

Stunning Sunrise

All the comforts of home in this getaway on the river. Watch the wildlife while sitting on the huge porch or read a book while relaxing in the hammock. The dock is inviting, offering more opportunities to get close to nature. The house is clean; everything you need is there. Beds are comfortable. Great place to get away from the hectic demands of everyday life. Good access to visit St. Augustine. Highly recommended.

Stay on the River

Beautiful location. Well cared for property. Nice neighbors. Love the bird feeders and got to meet a raccoon. The only thing is it was quite aways from Green Cove Springs. Closer to Palatka so unsure why the address is Green Cove Springs. But worth the distance.

Great hideaway

Great place to get away. Quiet and relaxing. Loved the little sitting area on the dock! Beautiful place to watch the moon come up. The wildlife turkeys came to the bird feeder. So interesting to watch. The home had everything that we needed to stay for the two weeks we were there.

Slice Of Heaven

Million dollar view. The home was comfortable, spacious and very clean. Lots of attention to detail! The owner was super responsive to us. If you need a place to kick back and unwind this is the place to recharge your batteries. Fishing is fun and plentiful! Thank you for opening up your home to us! We hope to be back soon!

Hidden treasure

This is a very well maintained and relaxing place for a getaway. The host has this place set up wih all the amenities that you need. We enjoyed fishing from the dock and play ping-pong.

River retreat

Loved the location, the view, the wildlife, great rainstorms, wonderful seclusion. The Wi-Fi could use a booster, but we were able to stream online some. We brought (and contributed to!) DVDs to watch, as local channels are not plentiful. Did not use a lot of the outside/outdoor amenities as it was blazing hot. We went to several different springs close(ish), and did some antique shopping in Palatka & Green Cove. Lovely home, a little ‘musty’ but you’re close to the river. If you want seclusion this is your place!

Peaceful Getaway
