Discover Oak St Refuge: a main-floor 3-bedroom, 2-bath condo just a few blocks from the scenic St. Johns River and Spring Park.



This modern retreat features a king suite with en-suite walk-in shower, two queen bedrooms, and a cozy living area with Smart TV and basic cable. Whip up meals in the fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, coffee maker, and cookware. Enjoy free parking, in-unit laundry, high-speed Wi-Fi, and seamless self check-in with keypad. Ideal for families, couples, or friends seeking adventure—kayaking, fishing, golf, festivals, and historic St. Augustine are all within easy reach. Pet-friendly (two dogs up to 25 lbs) and long-term stays welcome.

Small Dog Friendly - additional pet fee required per pet. Max size 25 lbs. Max is 2 pets. Pets must be disclosed in advance or subject to a $500 penalty.



Certain Boats, RV's or Trailers may be allowed - maximum is 1 week. Must be approved in advance, based on size.



**Parties are strictly prohibited - as noted in the rental agreement. Penalties will be enforced. The property is monitored by Noise Aware as noted in the booking agreement.



ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

Guest Arrival is anytime 4pm EST or after. If the property is approved for early arrival, you will receive a message letting you know you can arrive early and we will activate the door code. If you do not receive a message, then the arrival will remain at 4pm EST.



Guest Departure is anytime 10am EST or before. If you have not departed by this time and do not have written prior approval for a late departure, you will be assessed a $50 late departure fee for every 30 minute delay. The Cleaning Services we use schedule their teams for multiple cleans in advance and any unplanned delays create issues. With unscheduled/unapproved late departures, they are required to bring in additional team members to assist, which incurs a higher cost that must be charged. Any requests made for a late departure must be made a minimum of 24 hours in advance of departure time and are subject to approval/availability.

Leak

The master bed was very short. There was a water leak in master bath. Was very disappointed how it was cleaned up. Or should I say the carpet stayed wet in master for 2 days.

Close to Clay Theater

Had a wedding at the Clay Theater so was looking for a place that was close. This property was perfect for that. Location is very close to the Clay Theater but is a little sketchy. Weird neighbors and is located right by a rehab center. The property has quiet hours which was nice.

A little misleading

Overall it was a nice clean place. Very well stocked. They even provided cute toiletries and kitchen cleaning supplies so if you happen to forget something there is backup. The only disappointment was although it says walkable pool area and with the posted pictures it seemed like this was in housing community. It is not. The pool is in a cute town park that is a five minute drive away so the walk would be longer and you would have to cross highway 17 if you were walking with children. There is also a small fee to swim. Though when we did find the park it was pretty with the river and the pier.

Beautiful but not very clean

This looks to be a brand new place with new appliances, the apartment is beautiful however the cleaning staff must not be doing their job. We had our 2 year old with us and we got this place so she could have room to move around and not be stuck in a small hotel room. We were there about an hour when she got up on the sofa and we could see the bottom of her socks, they were black. We looked at our feet and they were gross. Could not believe it. My husband went to use the bathroom and there was the seal on the toilet stating that it was clean but when he lifted the seat there was still poo on the under side. Cobwebs in ceiling corners. And I know that this is a pet friendly place and know it’s hard to get hair out of everything but we didn’t expect flees. We have bites all over us. We rent from Vrbo all the time and I never leave reviews or at least not bad ones but I feel people should know. Wish I could post the pictures we took to show the issues. It is a beautiful place and very convenient to eating places, a beautiful park for kids and on a little quiet street. The other people in the building are very friendly and welcoming, loved the atmosphere.

Sue and Bart were amazing host. The place was very clean and had everything we could ask. Including being able to make a full dinner if we wanted. I would for sure recommend.

Christmas at Green Cove Springs

We enjoyed our Christmas. It was low-key. Thursday night we did the trolley light ride In St. Augustine. Friday morning we enjoyed breakfast at Sunrise and Sunset. Friday night we enjoyed a great dinner at BJ’s in Jacksonville. Homemade pancakes for Christmas breakfast, nibbles for lunch and an easy Christmas dinner. Our senior chocolate lab really enjoyed his trip as well. Accommodations were great.
