Great stay

The property was beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay. The driveway and getting to the house is a bit scary especially if you don’t like heights. We had a large group and would have carpooled more is we would have known there was limited parking space. We had an amazing time!

Great View! Disappointing Management Group

Amazing view! Beautiful home! The "basement" level was dark and dreary so not sure I would want to sleep in either of those two bedrooms. And the driveway was straight up scary steep! It was raining on our trip and I was too nervous to go up the driveway so I parked at the bottom.What was really disappointing was the cleanliness. There was a huge hair wad in the upstairs shower. The master bed also had questionable stains on the sheets. They smells clean! But the faded stains were not very welcoming.We ended up having issues with the pinball machine and the arcade game. I know... we didn't come up to the mountains to sit around and play games. But it was rainy, and we have two younger kids so the game room was a huge draw. I felt like the property manager was arguing with me when I tried to tell them about the issues. Saying things like, sometimes these games will glitch, or try gently tilting the pinball. But, they did finally send someone to fix the pinball machine and they did in fact get the balls unstuck. But the arcade game still only works for about 10 minutes before it resets itself.For the price tag on this place I expected more. But the view was incredible so it almost makes up for it.Lastly, not sure if anyone else experiences this, but after our stay the property management group sent out an email "guiding" us on how to rate their place?? And that a good rating on our part would in turn all them to positively rate us? Wow. That was a first.

Great

The driveway was definitely was a shocker. We were so appreciative the weather was not a factor with our visit. We did have to purchase additional toilet paper. The property did not present as the pictures showed but quit adequate. Bedroom and bathroom allocations not exactly as expected but mostly worked out or even better than expected.

Great house, great view

Enjoyed our stay for a long weekend. Weather was amazing and the house has fantastic views of the mountains. House was cozy and comfortable and well supplied for our three generation stay.

Beautiful spot

The house was perfect for a family get-togther. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed, and we loved the view from the balcony. The driveway is cary steep, but we were warned about that ahead of time. The only problem was that there the chlorine dispenser in the hot tub was empty.

Great family retreat

Property was well appointed and allowed us to easily prepare our Christmas meal. Numerous hikes suitable for dogs within 30-minute drive. Picturesque sunsets from the deck rounded out each day. Great place to relax and reconnect with family.

Beautiful View. Immaculately clean!

Beautiful property with an amazig view of sunset behind the mountains. Very clean. Only down side is the loft area with king bed. No privacy, as there are no walls. Any moving around downstairs at night is like someone in the room with you. Some of the beds were not comfortable.

This place was great for a large group of girls! I was very impressed with the amount of cookware and serveware in the house. It’s definitely well equipped for entertaining! There were also some ‘extras’ that people had left behind including some spices, olive oil, etc which was super nice! Although it would have been nice to have known some of these things were available so we wouldn’t have had to buy them. In addition, I felt the Property Management company wasn’t clear on what amenities would be available. The app said only 1 roll of toilet paper, 1 dishwasher fluid, 1 bar of soap per bathroom etc. basically making it sound as though only a starter kit was available for a long weekend. As a result we also bought all those sort of items. Upon arriving we did not need any of it. There was an extra roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, pump hand soap at each sink, dish soap and plenty of dishwasher detergent. We loved the deck during both day and night, as well as the hot tub! The only things I will note is that the bedrooms on the main floor and the driveway/parking. There are two bedrooms on the main floor and because of the wood log cabin feel the walls and ceiling do not actually meet for complete privacy. It wasn’t a problem for us, but I imagine it could be depending on the group. Then the driveway. It’s steep. I thought growing up in the hills of WV would mean it was no big deal. But it’s still intimidating. I can’t imagine it in poor weather conditions. What makes it worse is that there isn’t much of a flat area at the top for easy turn around and navigating. In addition, only 4 cars can park at the top of driveway. And there is no way you are parking on the drive. Too steep. The road leading to the house is one lane and no additional parking is available there. Something I feel is definitely worth noting on the listing. All in all it was a very nice home and we enjoyed our stay!

Had a great time!

Myself and 11 other girls visited this property over the weekend. Everyone had a great time and loved that it wasn’t too far from downtown Asheville (22 minutes). The hot tub was awesome and the perfect temperature. Nobody tried the sauna unfortunately. Their was a bed for everyone however, we didn’t realize that the king bed upstairs didn’t have its own room and was a loft. The only rooms that were quiet enough to not hear everyone were in the basement. All other rooms were loud as the walls don’t totally go up to the ceiling. The biggest issue we faced was getting into the house. It was sleeting and flurrying when we arrived and the code we were given did not work. More and more girls kept arriving and we waited in the cold while trying to get in. Received a new code and finally got in however the door with the code box is very tricky to open, even from the outside. Waited an hour in the driveway before we could enter which was an inconvenience. Kitchen was perfect for entertaining and all 12 women were able to eat together for a chef prepared meal we arranged to come to the house. Don’t recommend more than 6 cars in driveway as it’s VERY steep and a one way road. Overall we had a good time!

February Bday Vacation!

We loved this beautiful home, spent 3 nights here and loved how many dishes and things were available in the kitchen. Plenty spacious for our party of 9. Would definitely come back and stay again!

Wonderful Star

We went on a bachelorette weekened for my sister with 11 girls! This place was perfect for sleeping this group. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious! We mostly stayed at the house to enjoy the beautiful view and company. The kitchen and living area were very comfortable and great size for our group. We went in the hot tub one night and had the best time. It was the perfect temperature! We were a 20 minute uber ride away from downtown Asheville. The only thing that we had concerns about was the steep driveway. I definitely recommend that people carpool as much as possible so that there is turn-around-space in the driveway when you need to depart! 4WD is highly recommended as well for colder months. Overall, we loved the privacy this location had to offer. I recommend this space to anyone!

Really wonderful property w exquisite long range views. The ascent to property was fine for us, but could see it being an issue in colder months. Hot tub and sauna are fantastic. Very conveniently located. Only issue for us, and it wasn't with the house or listing, was lack of privacy in loft area. Other than that, fantastic place

Beautiful views and home!

Yes - the driveway is steep but we made it up with no issues. The home was perfect for our large group Christmas gathering, close to Asheville, and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend this home.

A steep climb that was well worth it!

We had a wonderful stay. The views were awesome, the house was spacious and comfortable. I read about the steep driveway in several reviews but nothing quite prepares you for the actual experience. Jenny communicated with us ahead of some nasty weather and we really appreciated that. I would highly recommend the property and would stay again!

Amazing house/views

This house was amazing and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay (towels, blankets,dishes, glassware) and we were 9 ladies. The mountain views are unreal from the deck. I will say, I had been having nightmares about this steep driveway from previous reviews, and they came true when we first arrived. The driveway is very steep and it was covered in wet leaves so our car started skidding backwards down the driveway. It would have been nice if someone swept the driveway prior to us arriving to avoid this scare. We had no problems once the driveway was cleared. Also, don’t expect Uber’s to pick you up from the house because it is out in the mountains away from downtown. We used J&J cabs a lot and they came right up to the doorstep. Overall, we are glad we chose this house over others and there was plenty of space for all of us. 3 floors with 7 beds and 5 bedrooms. Thank you for having us!

Wonderful!

Amazing mountainside property!

A group of 8 of us stayed here for a long weekend in the fall. We absolutely loved this property! It is in a great location with an amazing mountain view. The house was only about 20 minutes from downtown Asheville. We had a great time! I would highly recommend this property!
