Relaxing home away from home!

We spent a week here for our honeymoon. Booked it last minute and our experience was incredible! The room is a bit dated but it fit the unique charm. We had a gorgeous view of the marina and was able to catch a glorious sunset on the balcony. The hotel amenities were such a plus. Would absolutely stay here again!

Excellent view of the marina and Hawaiian Sunsets!

Communication from property management was excellent! Always informing us in advance. Property was as described. View was fantastic! Great sunsets!! Some interesting notes is the marina is where the intro for Gilligan's Island was filmed. Building is the one Jack Lord was standing on for Hawaii Five-O intro.

Nice place

Unit was large and clean. Great view and location. We cooked several times. Would recommend adding a few basic necessities. Would have been nice to not have to buy salt and pepper. Hawaii is very expensive. Also, unit needs to provide a couple beach towels. Little things go a long way. Welcome baskets are always a nice touch. Overall we had a great time. Giving unit a 5 star rating. Didn’t want to take a star away for not having a few basic requirements most vrbo’s provide.

Mahalo for the 5-star review! We loved that you enjoyed staying at the Ilikai and had a great view from the condo. Unfortunately we don't provide any cooking supplies due to safety reason, but we do let people know this when we send our check in instructions so most times guest will pack enough if they plan to do any cooking while staying here. Look forward to welcoming you back soon. Warmest Aloha & Mahalo!

Great location, Serious Interior Update Needed!

I've been to Hawai'i many, many times, in recent years staying almost exclusively at The Ilikai condos, all studios, quite similar floor plans & have always been pleased. However, I wouldn't reserve this unit again unless there were some real changes made, such as a thorough cleaning & replacement of the truly disgusting futon couch across from the TV & new bed & bedding. This isn't just cosmetic...my allergies were severe from the dust mites on that gross furniture. Also, the automatic lock / entry code didn't work, and though they fixed it pretty quickly, they were also supposed to update the device for WiFi. They never came back and I had trouble connecting to the WiFi the whole time. Also, I have to say, in this day & age, there was no access to Netflix or other streaming services, and whatever cable package that unit has is pretty archaic... just cheap... for a few dollars more a month... it's what I'd do... But the biggest thing is getting rid of & updating the furniture & bedding...it's not even sanitary. They also had none of the very common vacation things most people have available in their units, just a few beach chairs & towels, boogie board or two... nothing fancy, but it's usually what would be there. None of these fixes are expensive...and they are absolutely necessary.

Aloha Rachel, Thank you so much for your review & feedback. We agree with you that staying at the Ilikai is the most ideal location for vacations in Waikiki. Most guests that stay here once, opt to stay here all the time when returning back to the islands. We appreciate your feedback regarding the condo. The beds are new & were replaced in 2019. The owner will also be updating the sofa in the condo. We're happy that we could fix the issue of the door lock immediately for you. In regards to the TV services, the entire building has the same service & we were able to provide you additional services when you had called us to request it. We will take your feed back and make sure we make the necessary changes to make your vacation in Waikiki more comfortable! We look forward to welcoming you back at our condos at the Ilikai Hotel. Warmest Aloha & Mahalo!
