Wonderful property with a great host!

My family and I had a relaxing time staying at this property. Most of the main attractions were nearby and we were able to navigate easily. There is a laundromat, market, and a cafe/bakery next door which made our stay pleasant and accessible. Thank you so much.

Wonderful stay near the Vatican

Our host met us at the property and made sure we knew how to get around, what services were near by, and how to contact him if any issues. We were a few hrs early and were allowed to check in early and leave our bags. We enjoyed everything and highly recommend this wonderful apartment.

Perfect apartment to explore Rome

Wonderful courtyard leading to a quaint apartment with shops a short 8 minute walk away (as well as the train a similar distance). Quiet, easy for Uber pickup. Highly suggest. Owner was reaponsive and available when we needed anything.

The apartment had everything we needed. It was clean and conveniently located. The rental was within few minutes walking distance to metro station with direct connection to Rome center. The owner quickly responded to any requests. Definitely recommend the property to other travelers.

It was good but the bathroom smell like pee all the time.

It was nice and clean but the bathroom had a pee smell all the time. I don't know if is the way that the toilets are or just not clean enough. The fountain was dirty and created mosquitos.

Quiet spacious apartment in traditional neighborhood

Communicative and accommodating host. Additional towels provided as requested. Cleaning crew should turn on air conditioner in advance of guest arrival during hot periods of the year. All in all we were comfortable and liked the experience of being away from the fray of downtown Rome.

Disappointed

The property was disappointing, the outside gate didn’t lock. One of the windows on the back porch wouldn’t shut. There was an animal smell along with a smoking smell. Not as close to the Vatican as it was listed. Pass on this one.

Nice appartment and a perfect location to explore Rome

We stayed here for a week with our 14 year old daughter during the fall break. The check-in went smoothly. The apartment was very clean and well furnished. The two bedrooms are comfortably furnished and with the two bathrooms/toilets the apartment is very comfortable. In the kitchen you will find everything you need and you can easily cook there. The living room is big enough to eat in. There is a small television. The location of the apartment is perfect. The metro is only about 5 minutes away and you can get to the center quickly. The perfect location to explore Rome. There are several supermarkets near the apartment. We liked it very much and would love to come back.

Good apartment for family of 6

Easy access to public transportation. We took a siesta on each afternoon before heading back to Vatican/ruins in the evening. We had to ask for a fan and the air conditioning didn't do much. It was a bit stuffy/humid inside and hard to get a breeze through the apartment once it cooled down outside. We stayed for 3 nights in the end of July. It was 95° outside and the AC was set to 80° inside. Host was very friendly.

An absolute must! This is the best we have ever seen.

This rental rates higher than 100 percent! From the beauty of the apartment, to the location, to the cost. We had everything we needed and more. The host, Nicolo, was waiting upon our arrival. He gave us maps, information, tips on where to travel and restaurants. The neighbourhood was safe, residential, and people were friendly. We were near stores, the subway, buses, restaurants, and there was even a cash machine near by. You must see the property to believe it. The garden is beautiful, the rooms spacious and very clean. The kitchen had all we required and there was even a washing machine for laundry. I would highly recommend this property to couples, or families. It is a genuine taste of Italy, and I will return again. Thank you Nicolo to you and your family for making us feel so welcome. This was truly the best homeaway rental we have ever had. Absolutely perfect!

The property is perfect, both for those looking for a real taste of life in Rome and for those looking to be at the center of the touristic hub. The two neighborhood restaurants recommended by our host, Nicolo, are excellent and it is fun to be in a place where you can tell customers are neighbors and friends. Access by bus or metro to the Vatican and historical center is hassle free and you can be anywhere in 15 minutes or less. The apartment is extremely comfortable, with all the amenities. It does fit 6 people as announced, by I would recommend that 2 of them be younger kids that do not mind sharing a sofa bed (mine were a bit older and though they ended up sleeping well, they initially resisted the idea of sharing a bed...teenagers, you know...) But the absolute BEST thing about the property is Nicolo, our host: perfect English, a perfect gentleman, extremely helpful with recommendations of places to go and things to do, and with arranging our transport to the airport. We could not speak more highly of him. We are hoping to return soon!

Super Stadtwohnung - herausragend guter Vermieter

Wir waren zu Viert in dieser schönen Wohnung. Sie liegt sehr zentral für die Erkundungen der Stadt, aber dennoch ruhig durch den schattigen Garten mit dem Brunnen. Durch die Klimaanlage und den kühlen Mamorfußboden freut man sich auf die Rückkehr nach den Besichtigungen in der heißen Stadt. Die Bilder beschreiben die gute Ausstattung der Wohnung sehr gut - die Bäder sind neu renoviert. Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter war herausragend. Wir buchen seit 2004 Ferienwohnungen und - häuser über Fewo, doch so einen zuvorkommenden, freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Kontakt haben wir noch nicht erlebt. Für unser großes Auto hatte der Vermieter in der Nähe eine Garage zum guten Preis reserviert und hat uns auch sonst jede Hilfe zukommen lassen. Die Unterlagen im Haus mit Weg zur Metro, zum Bus und vielen Tipps für Restaurants und die besten Eisdielen Roms sind optimal. Wir wünschen dem Vermieter alles Gute, sagen nochmals Danke und wünschen Ihm noch viele tolle Mieter!!

Convenient and Lovely Apartment in Rome

Our family-parents and two teenage daughters very much enjoyed our stay. The fountain in front was delightful and we greatly appreciated the A/C as we escaped the heat of Rome. There is a bus stop almost directly in front of the gate to the apartment and a subway stop just at the bottom of the hill. Transportation was very convenient. There is a market, pharmacy, and restaurants within a very short walking distance.The apartment is part of a very old family home and has lovely marble floors. Nicolo is very helpful and easy to contact. He helped us a lot with figuring out transportation and directions. Should we return to Rome, we would definitely stay here again!

A wonderful place to stay near the Vatican in Rome

The Vatican House Apartment was the perfect place for my family's first visit to Italy. We stayed in a spacious two bedroom, two bathroom apartment with a big living room with a large sofa and TV. The same room also held a dining table that comfortably sat all four of us. The modest kitchen included a coffee machine, microwave, small refrigerator, gas stove, sink and counter. Outside of the kitchen door we had a sunny, private garden with seating and a table. The large bathroom had a laundry machine; we hung the laundry out to dry on the hanging racks in the garden. Everything was very clean. The apartment's neighborhood is great. The 49 bus stops right outside of the gate and the Metro Linea A Baldo degli Ubaldi station is a 5 minute walk away. There is a great pizzeria directly outside the gate, a caffe/bar on the corner, a full grocery store within a short walk and great restaurants near by. Our favorite restaurant, Trattoria Sora Pia (check Trip Advisor) was suggested to us by the owner, Nicolo. Nicolo is the best host. He was very helpful in providing instructions to the apartment, information about transit, suggestions for tourist attractions and local spots. Our family's goal was to have an authentic Roman experience. We did exactly that and Nicolo was very much a part of the whole, positive experience. He acts more like a friend than a business owner. We were very impressed. I encourage anyone looking for an authentic do-it-yourself Roman experience to book at the Vatican House Apartment. We will be suggesting it to all of our family and friends. Perfect place with an awesome owner!

Let me start by saying the owner Nicolo was really awesome. Even before we arrived in Rome he was giving me tips to on how to get around the city since we didn't have a car and had to rely on public transportation. He was happy to answer all my many emails. Upon arrival he met us out front of the apartment and spent some time showing us around where we would be staying and helped us the map. So lets talk about the apartment. 2 bedrooms 2 full bathrooms with a kitchen and laundry... it was perfect! We were able to walk to metro or bus with in minutes plus the Vatican was about a 15 minute walk away. Plenty of little cafes and grocery stores near by. What more could you ask for? We will be booking here again. Nicolo thank you for your kindness and opening up that apartment to us!

Brilliant apartment. Excellent host

The apartment was spectacular but it was the little touches the owner provided that made is special. Chocolates in the fridge, special coffee. The beds were very comfortable. We were lucky to enjoy the gardens and catch the sun. The owner was very friendly and couldn't do enough to ensure we had a great stay.

Wonderful experience!

We booked the apartment for our family trip to Rome. Nicolò was a wonderful person to deal with, and in addition to give us directions and suggestions he helped us arrange transportation from and to the airport when we arrived and departed. The apartment is very well located, very close to bus stops and just a short walking distance to the metro. If you don't mind a little exercise you can even walk to the Vatican. Within a block distance you find a neighborhood grocery store, a cafe and a pizza place. A bigger supermarket is just a couple blocks away and there are nice delicious restaurants in the area. The apartment is very clean and comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and having the garden is a delight, just having your morning coffee outside before starting your day is quite an experience. Having two very spacious bedrooms with good closet space and the two bathrooms allows everyone to be relaxed and not bump into each other all the time. We really had a wonderful experience staying at Nicolò ' s apartment and we recommend it !

Casa perfettamente attrezzata per l'ospitalità. Come ho detto al proprietario è più bella che nelle foto dell'annuncio. Proprietario attento, disponibile e discreto. 20 minuti a piedi da piazza San Pietro 2 minuti dalla metropolitana Recinzione e giardino offrono un gradevole stacco dalla strada siamo stati molto bene consigliato

I was born and grew up in Rome, after a couple of years in London as a pr manager for Italian clients in the food industry and in Lausanna (Switzerland) where I set up my own business in the food sector, I decided to come back to Rome and to move into the Food & Hotellerie field as a professional training consultant.
This big jump is due to my great gratification in warmly welcoming people and let them feel as if they're in their own home!

The family Palace was built on the ruins of an historical private villa owned by the Cardinal Msgr Albani during the 17th century. The property enjoyes an antique roman fountain in the middle of the internal garden, all sorrounded by trees and original marble roman capitals and statues.
