Balcony View Nice

View from the balcony is a bit obstructed by another building, but we still could see and hear the waves crashing. Furnishings, dishes and cookware are worn. Good idea to bring cooking oil, seasonings, dish and hand soaps, all toiletries and your favorite TP. Overall, it was adequate and we enjoyed our stay.

Great weekend getaway

My 10 year old and I spent a weekend here and it was lovely! Nice space for the two of us and fun location near the aquarium. The condo was clean overall but the kitchen supplies were not. All dishes and utensils were dirty. Only one pot was usable. The rest were gross. No dish soap or tin foil. Would stay again but bring my own pots and disposable plates!

Anniversary week

We enjoyed our stay at the riggings during our 44th wedding anniversary! The location is why we wanted to stay there…..great views and right next door to fort fisher recreation area.

Getting away

My husband of 45 years and I got away from all responsibilities fo 2 days! The view was perfect and we were able to relax and rest! We even Door Dashed a meal Friday night and that’s a lot for people our age!

No beach at high tide

The end of the complex, by Fort Fischer, has sandbags right up against the beach row units. The end where this unit is has only 30 feet of beach at high tide with no way to walk down the beach towards the pier except at low tides. Everyone is crammed into a little strip of sand. I’m not sure how they are even renting that front row.

Tropical Storm Debby

Unfortunately we arrived shortly before tropical storm Debby and had to leave after only a couple of days. Pros: The location is great! The condo was spotless and has a beautiful view! Cons: The furniture and kitchen amenities are tired and could use a refresh. We may not have been bothered by that as much if we weren't spending so much time inside during our brief stormy stay.

Fantastic

We absolutely loved our stay. The condo was the perfect size for a couple and it was so close to the ocean! It was clean and had everything we needed. We loved having the option of a pool on the one day that the beach was too windy for comfort. The host was super communicative and everything was as smooth as possible. We would happily stay here again.

Visit with my daughter in Wilmington NC

Enjoyed my stay at this property while visiting my daughter. Good price for the location. Property manager (Carolina Beach Rental) kept me informed throughout the stay. Condo was on the beach - right next to Fort Fisher park, enjoyed my morning walks on the beach and in the park. Plan to stay at this location on my next visit.

Family vacation

Quiet, basic beach retreat

The pros: this place is at the VERY end of Kure Beach so it is so, so quiet. You are literally next door to Fort Fisher. The saltwater pool is wonderful. The complex seemed to have quite a few long term residents staying there and was quiet. Being up on the third floor we didn’t have to listen to the heavy treads of people above us, which everyone we met staying in lower units complained about. Having our own in-unit washer and dryer was wonderful. It’s also super nice to have a kitchen with basic necessities so we could have breakfast and lunch there. Having hoses and/ or showers outside the buildings was also nice. The cons: three flights of stairs and no elevator is no small feat when hauling your stuff in and out, so if you have any mobility issues I’d encourage you to look elsewhere. The shower is also not for the faint of heart—the floor of the shower is curved, not flat, and my daughter slipped and hit her back really hard on the faucet. It gets very slippery and since it’s not flat it’s hard to stand! The couch and chair in the living area are really, really uncomfortable. The floors are SO thin. Every step reverberates underneath you, no matter how much you try to be quiet. FYI for those staying: Only had one trash bag for a whole week, two rolls of TP and paper towels, and two packets of dishwasher detergent, so make sure to bring your own. The coffee pot never turns itself off, so pay attention to that before you head out for the day!

Quiet getaway

The property was nice and not overly crowded.We had an issue with the bedroom television but it was fixed the next morning by the rental company. Would recommend if you don’t want to be in the middle of all of the action!

Nice Place and Location

The place was nice. No broom to help sweep up the sand and no dishwasher detergent left for us to use. But other wise loved the place. Would book again.

Dated with good views

The view was good from the living room, there is another condo between this and the beach but still a partial ocean view. Furnishings and colors are so dated and old, felt like my great grandmothers house. They were very nice about switching my dates when I needed to, thank you for that.

Sit back and relax

We came down for the weekend to relax and take it easy. Very nice quite location, clean condos. Although the condo is in the 2nd row the beach is only steps away. The view from the balcony is great and it's the perfect place to relax. We've already told our friends and would recommend it to anyone who wants a peaceful place to stay with good food a short drive away.
