Magnolia Bay was nice, but unit could use some work

We have stayed at this unit before in 2020, and it felt much nicer and fresher back there. The unit is a little dated now, and there are some maintenance issues that could be addressed. Multiple lightbulbs were out. Some light stains on furniture. Bedding was OK, but could’ve used some extra pillows and a comforter. You would think with the charges for cleaning and maintenance, some of that could go towards better maintaining the property. Overall, it was a good stay, just needs a little more TLC.

The primary suite washing machine had a horrible smell to it and appears to not have been cleaned out in quite some time. We took a towel and wiped out a lot of dark colored dirt from inside the door. Even with bleaching out the machine the odor remained and it even transferred to our clothes. I would not offer the washing machine as an amenity unless someone keeps it clean. I have a video if you’d like. The only other issue was the painters doing work on the house. Not a problem, but we did not know they were going to be there for 3 of our vacation days. They taped up over the door and we had to move the vehicles a few times for them to clean the driveway and garage doors. They also had clear view into the home upstairs through the windows which made getting dressed in the bedroom impossible.

We know just where the pool is we know just where the entertainment is and restaurants. It is essentially located perfectly to everything, even the beach. We will try to come again in the fall maybe... The beds and comforters were so comfy towels were excellent. The showers were so nice. The furniture was very upscale! Everything was very clean and professionally placed for our using!!! Thank you so much for making our stay fabulous once again!!!

Pool is located just across the street and is beautiful. The home is very comfortable and has large windows across the back which provide a beautiful view of the golf course. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need and more. I’ve stayed in many rentals and this kitchen was by far stocked the best. Arrival and departure process is very easy. I’d give it a 10/10. Will be back next year!

Wonderful stay!

The property was very clean, perfect location, and very spacious. We were able to view the fireworks from the back patio. The furniture and beds were comfortable and the golf cart was perfect to get around the property and to the beach. We will definitely stay again.

Wonderful Stay!!!

My husband I truly enjoyed this property. We stayed for Christmas, and we could not have rented a better place. It was clean, comfortable and stylish. It was large, we only used the downstairs with the master bedroom, but the upstairs was very nice as well. Golf cart was great, very peppy, battery runs down fairly fast, but we were always ok. Would recommend this property to everyone.

Loved staying on the Sandestin resort. It was beautiful and so many things to do within the community. Love having the golf cart to take around the resort. My family of 4 loved the house. Plenty of room and and it was very comfortable. I would choose to stay here again.

Great Vacation

The house has a great location to the swimming pool, dining facilities, and entertainment. The golf cart is an added bonus for transportation to the beach as well as touring the various communities at the resort. We had a great vacation and would recommend this property to others!

Destin Fl area visit

The house was actually in the Sandestin Beach and Golf Resort -- a few miles east of Destin Harbor. Very nice property - right next to the 8th hole. Quiet location and well managed. Owner provides golf cart which is all you need to get to the eating and beach areas within the resort. There was a couple of issues upon arrival -- fridge ice dispenser not working - filter needs replacement; patio ceiling fan didn't work; these were not resolved while we were there. The golf cart needed a brake/taillight replaced which was taken care of. The biggest issue was with the new A/C unit. It was extremely cold the first 24 hours and we could not get the thermostat to function. After contacting building management on the 2nd day, they advised the thermostat was left in a "lock out" setting -- renters could not change the thermostat settings. They un-locked it While there were these problems, it was a very good property, and the management was quick to respond to fix what they could.

Nice location

Close to marina, wharf, shopping, movies, grocery store, restaurants beach and pool. Golf cart is a nice feature. Pool code was given to me wrong twice, carpet was stained and dirty, and the whole being your own items (TP, paper towels, dishwasher/laundry supplies…) you can buy at the local grocery store.

Highly Recommend !!

This property was wonderful, everything described. Great location for enjoying everything that Sandestin offers. Everything is either a short walk or a golf cart ride away. House was clean and inviting when we arrived. 2 master bedrooms to choose from and It was nice to have the 3rd bedroom with its own full bath for visiting family and friends to stay the night. Sandestin itself is a great place to visit or stay. We were there a bit before their main season so there was a lot of construction projects happening everywhere but most everything was open for us to enjoy at the wharf. Numerous restaurants to discover and try throughout the property and a grocery store very close to get anything you may need to make your own meals. We are looking to book this property next year already.!!

Awesome Time!!!

The house has everything needed and is in a great location. Can't beat sitting on the porch in the morning drinking coffee and watching a little golf. Golf cart was perfect for going to the wharf, getting groceries at Publix and loading up to ride over to the beach. Plenty of beach accessories in the garage as well. Highly recommend.
