Te zot voor woorden. Afspraak voor ontvangst voor sleutel werd afgezegd, geen buitenverlichting waardoor ik mijn voet heb bezeerd en nog veel meer.

About as hospitable as humanly possible!

Very clean, cozy comfortable property overlooking the sea. Walking distance to multiple restaurants and stores. Owner left me home made wine, grapes bananas, and tomatoes. I highly recommend this property.

Great place to explore Pico

We have spent one great week in Adelina's house and enjoyed it a lot. Property turned to be a perfect place to explore whole island. We have arrived late in the evening by ferry with rented car and owner Adelina was waiting for us anyway. As port Madalena is only 30 minutes driving, we were able to visit Faial within one day too. Property was very clean, spacious and all listed facility was available. Adelina was very kind to us and our children and has provided us with usefull information. We always appreciate the nice view on our accomodation and so have been satisfied here. This is why we have many different pictures of Pico mountain taken during our holiday -:) We would definitely stayed there again.

Lovely stay at Casa Ilha do Pico in Sao Roque

Wir haben eine prima Woche im Casa Ilha do Pico in Sao Roque auf der Insel Pico verbracht. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich und großzügig. Das Haus ist sehr sauber, groß und ganz nah am Meer gelegen. An der nahegelegenen Badestelle lässt es sich sehr gut schwimmen.

Great stay on Pico!

We had a great time on Pico. Adelina is a wonderful host and the house is fantastic. A gorgeous view of the ocean and Mt. Pico, near to two ocean swimming “pools”, a cute restored windmill, and an excellent jogging/biking path. Adelina brought us fresh eggs and produce from her garden. She is very kind. Everything we needed was available for cooking. Would go back in a heartbeat. Note you should close the windows at night, there aren’t many mosquitoes but the few that are around are vicious (I think they are the tiger mosquitoes, the ones that cause big welts).

Nice location

The owner is wonderful and friendly helping you out in anyway you might need. Home is comfortable and safe. Nice views of the ocean and Pico when the weather allows.

Sehr schöne Wohnung in perfekter Lage

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt auf Pico sehr genossen. Von der Gastgeberin Adelina Silveira wurden wir herzlich empfangen und mit leckeren Früchten aus ihrem Garten versorgt. Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt und gemütlich; von der Terasse konnten wir aufs Meer sehen und den Blick auf die gegenüber liegende Insel Sao Jorge genießen. Zur anderen Seite zeigte sich hin und wieder der majestätische Berg Pico, der sich gerne auch mal in Wolken hüllt. Die Besteigung war ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Insgesamt können wir die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen. An dieser Stelle noch einmal ein herzliches Dankeschön an Adelina !!! Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt !

Schöne Wohnung mit netter Gastgeberin

Wohnung mit allem was man braucht. Fußläufig zur Fähre nach Terceira. Auto notwendig. Gastgeberin nett und hilfsbereit. Katze und süßer Hund am Start. Ein paar Meter vom Atlantik weg, leider Ausblick etwas verstellt durch flachen Anbau (sehr pingelige Kritik :). Sehr empfehlenswert. Gastgeberin hat anscheinend noch andere, größere Häuser.

Upgrade to Calheta Nesquim

A very well maintained house and well equipped with a view of the ocean. There is a lovely little natural swim area near the windmill and a charming bar. There are some annoying barking dogs in the neighbourhood and some very interesting migrating birds at night that sound amazing! we did Whale watching in Lajes and a trip to Madalena to get a ferry to Faial, also gorgeous, beautiful beach in Horta and wine tasting back in Madalena and a very nice restaurant (Anchor) in Sao Roque also a supermarket, there was also one in Lajes that we discovered. There are some annoying barking dogs in the neighbourhood and some very interesting migrating birds at night that sound amazing! We did quite a challenging walk of 4 hours in the village. Pico is just stunning.

Estadia Fabulosa

A nossa estadia de uma semana foi espetacular. A casa é excelente (nela existe tudo o que se necessita) e a "senhoria" um amor, explicando tudo sobre o Pico e os Acores e pondo-nos completamente à vontade. Uma verdadeira "home away". O lar é super bem localizado para deslocalizacoes pela ilha. E nao esquecer o Nesquim e o Tareco, o cao e o gato, meigos e ternos que se entregam completamente às nossas festas. Agradecemos à D. Adelina pela maravilhosa estadia que nos proposicionou. De volta ao Pico, será , sempre a nossa primeira escolha!

unforgetable creatures

I have been there twice, but hope to multiply my stays. A wonderful host - Adelina - hospitable, helpful, charming and honest. She's a real Wikipedia of PICO, she makes wonderful local dishes and drinks. Not only is she the best, but also she is the owner of a lovely dog and some beautiful, wise cats. The stay at her place is something which I always crave for - counting months to my next stay. Thank you Adelina, thank you God for creating Acores, and thank you the proud people of Acores.

Simply amazing!!

My third stay in São Roque do Pico and with a lot of enthusiasm I decided to turn to one of Adelina's (the kindest owner ever) houses which are simply amazing!! I wished to wake up in front of the Atlantic ocean, enjoy the sun in enourmous garden, be in company of animals - Nesquim (dog), Tareco (cat). And the "casa do mar" was like a dream come true! This house has just everything what needed (3 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, living room, external laundry and even more! It's super clean, spacious, very cozy, has fully equipped kitchen with a huge cooker, possibility to take anything from the big garden as fresh tomatoes, onion, leak, parsley, etc, just perfect!! There were never missing bananas, figs, grapes, apples on the table which Adelina brought me regulary from her gardens. That's more than hospitality. I felt like a member of a family, that we created. When i wasn't trekking i just chilled out under the roof- in the cozy loft area, listening to the music ( great stereo), on a rainy day watching hundreds of available channels and the WiFi is really fast in any area of the house including the big garden. The central position allowed me to do the shopping in few minutes ( Spar) or in a small shop just 15m from the house! Even the bus stop is just on the corner. The Mountain Pico and São Jorge island view in front is just a bonus that no money can pay!! Can't wait to come back and honestly reccomend to everybody who is gonna visit the Pico Island:)

Vacances sur Pico

Merci beaucoup à Adelina, Nesquim et Tareco pour leur accueil chaleureux !! La maison est très agréable, on s'y s'en tout de suite comme chez soi, avec les fruits frais qui vous attendent dans la cuisine! Une belle vue sur la mer et le volcan, avec une piscine naturelle à 5 min à pied. On recommande l'île pour ses belles randonnées, les petits villages avec les maisons typiques, l'observation des baleines et la cuisine locale!! Une super semaine, avec des souvenirs plein la tête !! Encore merci Adelina!

Petit coin de paradis

Nous avons passé 6 jours chez Adelina et nous nous sommes sentis comme à la maison tant notre hôte a été attentive et attentionnée ... La maison est très bien et adaptée pour une famille ... La propreté est irréprochable ! Elle est très bien située : près de Sao roque et des piscines naturelles .il y a un bel espace dehors pour jouer et prendre des repas en famille. Un grand bravo ! Mais le bonus de cette maison c est Adelina qui vous apporte des fruits de son jardin, de la brioche et qui vous trouve un taxi ! En plus elle parle très bien français ..
