We had a fantastic week at Las Piedras! Our two families (4 adults, 4 kids) had more than enough space to spread out, relax, and enjoy the beautiful ocean views. The house has all towels, beach chairs, and enough essentials in the kitchen to get you started. We cooked quite a few meals at home, and the kitchen is well equipped, along with a grill near the pool.
There was a north wind the week we stayed, so while we weren't able to snorkel in front of Las Piedras, we enjoyed exploring the beach, looking for sea glass and shells, and watching the Vieques horses that visit. The Bravos de Boston neighborhood is quiet and safe, and close to everything on the island-10 minutes to the supermercado, 20 minutes to Esperanza, and a quick 5 minutes into Isabel II. Evelyn has a great binder at the house with info on local restaurants beaches, restaurants, etc.
We took the ferry to Vieques and had no problems. Definitely rent a jeep while you are on the island, as most roads are pretty rough, especially if you want to visit any of the quieter beaches.
Evelyn was always quick to reply with any questions, as was the caretaker, Aurelio, who met us at our car rental and took us to the property. We arrived in Vieques right before Covid-19 really took hold; our ferry off the island was cancelled, and Evelyn was patient and flexible as we worked out our revised times to leave the house.
Vieques is an amazing place, and Las Piedras was the perfect home to experience it!!
