Beautiful condo!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful condo and resort. Very comfortable and a great location. Excellent value for the amenities! Definitely would stay there again if we come back to Maui.

Great location and set up. Loved that there was a beach bag and beach chairs available for use. The towel service is priceless! The property manager was very responsive and helpful! Would definitely be back!!

Amazing Stay

This was the best rental experience we've had and it's not even close. Communication leading up and throughout our vacation was great! We loved the amenities that included beach toys and a large cooler tote which we used everyday. The water slide was a hit and my son went down probably 100 times. On site Duke's restaurant and coffee shop was clutch and we went everyday. We were able to pack light because of the in unit washer and dryer which was super convenient. Directions at check out were simple and concise. This was a reminder of the benefits of a rental property vs a hotel. When we're back in Maui, we'll definitely be looking to stay here again.

Love the resort

We love Honua Kai. It was our third time staying at the resort. This was our least favourite room. The room was nowhere near as nice as our other 2 stays. The room is a little run down. The toilet paper holder is broken for instance and there is almost no room to put your own belongings in the bathroom and the kitchen. We love to sit on the lanai at night on trips, but this lanai didn’t even have lights on it. It wasn’t terrible, but for what we paid, my expectations were higher. The highlights were having the towel service and the communication with the manager. There was only a keurig with expired coffee and no beach umbrella but she promptly brought us a coffee machine and umbrella the next morning. Overall, just being at this resort was awesome.

Beautiful Condo

We only got to stay in this condo for one night, but wish it could have been longer! It was perfectly clean & well equipped. There were clear instructions on how to work everything in the condo. We absolutely loved the patio doors that could be opened up and ate dinner out there looking over the mountains. Only hiccup was that the valet holding our bags gave them to another room and had to go and find them, so we didn’t have bags when we got into our room. Although, this was clearly not an issue for the condo, just a small frustration at the resort.

Excellent stay

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was really convenient to have the laundry detergent pods and dish soap. Everything we needed was provided. It truly was being at home. The kid's appreciated the beach toys.

Great location and amenities!

The Honua Kai is a great property. The proximity to Lahaina and the beach is terrific, and my kids loved the pools and immediate beach access at the hotel. We had a hiccup checking in, but the local manager Michelle quickly fixed it. The room is showing some wear and could use a little updating, but overall was a great value.

Needs better service

The property complex is very nice and in a convenient location. Nice property amenities. We appreciated the towel service with the unit. Unfortunately, the service/preparation of the unit was not satisfactory. The pull out coach did not have sheets provided which we didn't realize until bedtime our first night. On the second day I was directed to the owner's closet for sheets but there weren't any, only a duvet cover. We were provided with sheets on day 3. The shower curtain liner had mildew on it, it was replaced on day 3. There was no hot water. On day 3 service technicians "reset" the hot water heater which provided hot water for one day but then it was back to lukewarm water by the next day. The dryer takes hours to dry one load, on any of the settings. It seems that the sensors don't work in the dryer as it kept stopping. Finally, we were not given enough toilet paper. We only had two adults in a room that sleeps 4 and we ran out on day 5. I was advised that they only provide a starting amount of toilet paper and we would need to replenish ourselves. I wish this would of been clear as I would of brought some, especially given the small market on property doesn't sell it. We had to travel off property to buy more.

Maui Vacation

Had a wonderful stay at this property. Communication with host and onsite property manager was very easy and the condo itself was just as in the listing -very clean and having some coffee pods and soap/shampoo to start was great. The towel service was also so helpful and Honua Kai amenities[pool, beach access] were amazing. Would definitely come again!

Awesome spot!

I needed a rental for 1 night before the rest of my family got to Maui. It was perfect for me! Very clean, well kept and lots of amenities. The Keurig was a bonus! The property is amazing, lots of pools and the perfect place for a getaway.

Place is amazing! Ending was sad

The place is clean and beautiful. We followed the checkout procedure (leave keys in room) but later found the property manager wanted all the windows closed too and they were mad at us for that. I wish the checkout procedure was more clear or that they didn't get so upset upon our departure about the open windows. It left a bad taste in our mind about the stay and place.

Loved Hanoa Kai

This was our second time staying at Hanoa Kai and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Priya was very helpful and communicated in a timely fashion with everything we needed to know about our stay. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen had sufficient cooking supplies for when we wanted to eat in, we used the lawn chairs and umbrella that were conveniently left for our use and loved having a washer/dryer in the condo. The property grounds are absolutely beautiful with amazing pools and towel service. We also loved having Duke’s restaurant right on the property with amazing service and food. We had an amazing time and will be back!

Nice apt. Good view. A little nosy.

The apt was clean except for a sightly older shower curtain. Good amenities in the apt. View of the mountain was great. But road noise was loud when windows/doors open.

Beautiful Condo

This was an amazing place to stay. The condo had a beautiful view and had everything you could think of and more. The property management was responsive and kept us informed throughout our entire stay. We will definitely be back.

As advertised- great property!

Property/unit was ad advertised. We had a small hiccup with the fridge during our stay and it was addressed immediately. Property manager was extremely welcoming and helpful, and quick to answer us! Unit was clean and comfortable! Would recommend!

Excellent and comfortable stay

Overall my family of four had a comfortable and excellent stay. We’ve stayed at this resort before but first time booked through VRBO and everything went well. The condo was well stocked with all the necessities we needed. The towel service, beach chairs, boogie boards and beach bag were a plus. The bed and sofa bed were very comfortable and there were enough linens. There were a few laundry detergent pods for use which I greatly appreciated and coffee to last for a few days which is an added bonus. Easy communication with the owner and property manager. Property manager checked in on us as soon as we arrived to ensure that everything was okay. Check in and out was a breeze (very well laid out instructions). Thanks for having us and we would definitely stay here again!

Awesome experience

Our stay at Honua Kai was awesome. The room was great, the grounds were beautiful. They have high end Viking gas grills all around the pool are which we used several times. The condo is well stocked with everything we needed and the ability to use the pool towels was a big plus. We would absolutely stay here again.
