I can’t gush enough about this place. The host is an absolute gem who somehow manages to balance being instantly accessible while also very respectful of privacy. Check in and check out were a breeze. The place is so quiet and peaceful with a beautiful garden, all natural fibers for bedding/throw blankets/towels, high end appliances, and thoughtful details throughout. In the garden are birds, butterflies, dragonflies, fountains, trees, and fragrant flowers. This is pretty much heaven on earth.

My dog is usually very shy but loved the place instantly and was very comfy!

Looking down the street. The owner let us use his bikes to explore Alameda! He’s so generous with his time too and gave us tours of the neighborhoods, bike trails, and many sights.

Cozy apartment

This charming apartment is on the bottom floor of a beautiful Victorian home. Just perfect for two people who aren’t interested in climbing stairs. There is a small kitchen and sitting room separate from the bedroom, I guess it is a studio. We will stay there again.

Charming, welcoming, cozy, and in a great location!

Loved this spot for exploring Alameda - which itself is a great city - and the rest of the Bay Area. Impeccably clean, adorable, and peaceful. A perfect place to come home all week to after exploring the area.

Was just as listed, small but well equipped kitchen, charming garden, nice neighborhood.As others have mentioned, soundproofing form upstairs apartment is lacking.

Very lovely place!

Gorgeous place with a lovely yard. The couch had covers so we didn’t feel terrible about our dog’s dirty paws (although we did our best to wipe down her feet every time she came in from the yard). Has the basics cooking wise, and very cozy feel overall! Very clean!!!My only note for people is that if you’re a very light sleeper this place might not be for you. You can hear upstairs neighbors faintly talking and hear them moving around. Makes sense since it’s a lower level rental, but just be aware! Still a five star experience, we loved this place

Very small Backyard Appartment

The property is clean, has all that you need and is functional. When neighbors above are not careful, you hear a lot of noise when they walk and this was annoying. Especially when they do not sleep early. The last day we had noise until 2 AM. The host was responsive.

Cozy accommodation

Great location, updated interior. Amazing shower. Visiting family on the island and this was the perfect place for us to sleep at night. Bicycling distance to all areas of the island.

Perfect location, perfect setup

Loved the downstairs setup. Everything was clean, neat and convenient. Loved having the laundry available to us. Would like to try upstairs next year when we bring our daughter out with us.

Wonderful stay!

Super clean, perfect for my husband and I. Loved that it was close enough to walk to things in Alameda. Super clean, had everything we could have needed, 5+ rating! The host was very helpful and welcoming!

LOVED it!!

My friend and I stayed while visiting her son at Cal. The house is in a great location. Shops, restaurants are a short drive (or walk) away. It is also conveniently close to San Fransisco and Berkeley. The owner was VERY helpful and answered any questions we had quickly. The house itself is beautifully decorated, super clean and the bed is beyond comfy! Huge shower, built in refrigerator, and lots of windows. The charming backyard has rocking chairs to sit and enjoy all the trees, flowers and plants. If we go visit again, we will be back!!

I moved to Alameda in 2017 after living in San Francisco since 1999. I love the beauty of the island of Alameda surrounded by the bay and full of historical buildings and homes. Walk or take a bicycle along the pedestrian/bicycle path and you will be immersed in nature with the bay, marshland and critters such as ground squirrels, birds (brown pelican, blue heron, egrets, and many many more) A 15 minute ferry ride brings you to the Ferry Building in San Francisco!
