2nd time staying here, will not be the last. Best resort there is for kids.

Amazing all the way around! Location is perfect. Beach is steps away with boogie boarding, beach combing, snorkeling right out from the resort. Ridiculous whale show right from the resort during humpback whale season, turtles, etc. You cannot go wrong staying here. Condos are beautiful as well.

Fantastic Stay at Honua Kai

The property was very clean with a very well stocked kitchen. Really appreciated the small details provided by the owner (i.e. coffee, chocolates). The room was very spacious and had everything we needed. The resort was really great, had several pools which the kids really enjoyed and the beach was very nice... a perfect place to watch the sunset every day. The only thing that could be better is the check-in instructions. Would be great if they could provide a map and more detailed instructions so that we knew where to go and who to talk to in order to get the resort bracelets and check-in. We would definitely come back on a future visit to Maui.

Great resort

We stay at honua kai regularly and really enjoy the resort. It is great for families, with many pools and a water slide and right on Kaanapali. This unit could use a bit of a refresh. The carpet had water stains as well as one of the doors. It smelled like wet carpet. Also, we had small issues with many of the appliances. The vent fell off the microwave, the stove was turning on and off and the washer is rusted out, but did work. It is a nice floor plan and deck, it just needs an update. The property management was very responsive, though, and immediately showed up to help fix issues.

Great Place to Stay Away from it All

This is a nice property with great room amenities. We especially enjoyed the W/D dryer in the condo. The resort is away from the beaten path, so if you're looking for hustle and bustle, this is not the place to be. It was very quiet and great for families looking to enjoy their time in Maui. The resort itself was very beautiful and the rom very comfy.

Nice but wierd things for a high end place

When spending top dollar, I expect to have a set of drawers/dresser /somewhere to store my clothes not 2 12 inch by 4 inch drawers for each of 2 people. Lived out of suitcase It was a condo with a nice kitchen. If you purchase any non perishables, breakfast cereal for instance there is no storage outside of the Frig. Television reception works well in the morning but not in the late afternoon or evening. Pictures break up or get totally pixelated. Suspect weak signals to building or condos Lastly the resort removed many outdoor chairs during the pandemic. The resort seems to be full, but the outdoor seating seems to have not changed

Maui comfort

The layout of the room was very nice. Convenient to have a washer and dryer and full kitchen so you have an option to dine in. Enjoyed having both shower and tub. And eating at Duke's when I had my granddaughters over to visit was nice

Great location

Great hotel/resort. Excellent location of beach and pool and trail by the ocean. Walkability to restaurants was so so but that’s not a knock against the condo/room. The restaurant on the property (Duke’s) was awesome but at the time we were there reservations were very scarce. Overall we were extremely pleased with this place! Highly recommend!!!
