This is a spacious house with beautiful sea view. Plenty of space for 5 adults in the house and on the patio. The parking garage included is very important if you have a rented car otherwise it will be a big challenge to find a parking spot on the twisting road. Our host Doriana is very responsive and super helpful. She arranged a nice private boat day tour for Amalfi coast.

We enjoyed our time in Amalfi

We enjoyed our time in Amalfi. The house has a gorgeous view, and the air conditioning was particularly helpful to help us get a good night's rest each night. The house is also spacious and the beds comfortable. The kitchen is basic but well-appointed.

Adorable villa in great location

We loved this place for our family! This villa was in a perfect location just outside of Amalfi, with a bus stop at the bottom of the steps. Beautiful outdoor area with amazing views!! Inside was comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. Our contact, Elvira, was super helpful and easy to communicate with. We would absolutely recommend this villa.

We had an amazing stay at Villa Marcella. Grandma, three adults and two teens stayed in this wonderful home in this most amazing location. Grandma had a little trouble with the steps but, she loved it all. We would all come back! We would all recommend Villa Marcella and the host. We had a wonderful experience. Summer In Italy service was wonderful. Prompt, accurate, informative and helpful to our stay. Thank you so much!

Amazing hospitality from Luca and Elvi [the caretaker]! Thank you very much for hosting us, we had a wonderful time at the villa. Detailed instructions and assistance to get to the accommodation for both via private transfer and public transportation were provided. Recommendations for local areas were great. It was only a 30 minute walk (down hill) to the city of Amalfi so great location. Not too many stairs considering the location to minimal issues with our luggage. Would highly recommend. :)

The property has a beautiful view

The property has a beautiful view. 3 large bedrooms with queen sized beds. Additionally a bunk bed, tucked away off the side of the living room. Two bathrooms. The kitchen is large. The outdoor patio has two sitting areas and a view of the ocean or some houses, depending on where you sit. There was seven adults in total and it fit us comfortably. If any or all seven of us find ourselves in Amalfi again, we would pick this villa for our stay. Everything was excellent.

Beautiful Views and a wonderful stay

My family loved our stay here. The views are incredible and the house comfortable, plenty of room for the 5 of us. The kitchen is well stocked making cooking easy. The outdoor living area is perfect and where we spent most of our time looking down at the ocean and up at the mountains. The young lady, Elvira was AMAZING. She was so helpful and responsive. She helped arrange for drivers, gave recommendations and even can have a private chef come give you a cooking lesson! The only thing is the stairs, if you do not have mobility issues then they are not an issue, they were a bit much for my parents in their 80s but we just took our time going up and down them. The bus stop is right at the bottom of the stairs so need for a car. It runs quite often and is easy to use. No need for a car. We would definitely stay here again.

The views and location are amazing

The views and location are amazing! Host and house manager were very responsive and helpful. Met us on day one and available through WhatsApp for questions throughout our stay. Every room in the house had a window or door with a view. AC units in each of the 3 bedrooms. Kitchen had everything needed to cook meals and well stocked with blankets and towels. The house was clean and comfortable for a big family. Location was close enough to the major cities for day and night trips (about 70 minute drive to Sorrento, 35 minutes to Positano, 15 minutes to Ravello and 20 minutes to Minori). The walk to the market (Market Marcellino) was about 10 minutes (about 200 stairs) and had all the necessities. The walk to the public beach took about 30 minutes and lots of stairs (through the town and public roads but we did it with two small children) and the beach was totally worth it (Spiaggia di Conca dei Marini) as it’s only accessible by walking or boat. The bus stop was a minute walk from the apartment (although we did not use). We chose to just drive to eat. Overall I would stay again and recommend. Thank you Summer In Italy so much for being so responsive and helpful! The location and property was great!

The home and its outdoor terrace areas were beautiful and clean like in the photos, and Carmela showed us how to use each electrical switch (some were for hot water or the refrigerator). We had a great time and highly recommend staying at their home! Luca and Carmela were great and very kind! They were always available to help us with general information like transportation and Carmela even tried to find a taxi for us when we needed one and couldn’t find one ourselves. Carmela also gave us a recommendation to eat at Dongo’s Bar nearby, which didn’t show up on internet searches but had the best burgers in Italy (seriously)!

My friends and I had a lovely time staying here in Amalfi! The property is in a bit more of a residential area, but we loved that because it afforded a bit of distance from the busier areas of Amalfi, but we could still walk to the center in 25 minutes (with a beautiful view along the way). Bus stop is right near the property which is very convenient, and a supermarket is also close by. Property is spacious, and the bedrooms have beautiful views. Lovely terrace and view! Carmela was communicative and helpful, and checked us in and out easily.

Very large and comfortable apartment

Very large and comfortable apartment (exactly as it is in the pictures). Equipped with every comfort. It was clean. The terrace with sea view was really beautiful. Located 3 kilometres from Amalfi you can reach the town by bus, the stop is right under the house, or by car. Carmela very willing to help us in all our needs. Perfect stay. Recommended.

The whole villa is incredible

The whole villa is incredible - from the bedrooms to the terrace, which has views onto the ocean and what can only be called Amalfitan natural countryside. This villa made for the best possible experience of Amalfi and the surrounding area. The property was excellent and we all really appreciated Mrs Carmela’s thoughtfulness throughout the stay! The company all seems well organised, well advertised and have a legitimate image. The constant contact with me before the stay was appreciated, the booklet of info very helpful.

We had a wonderful vacation at Villa Marcella

We had a wonderful vacation at Villa Marcella. Calm and beautiful surroundings just outside of busy Amalfi. Convenient with busses along the coast but also walking distance to/from Amalfi. The view from the terrace as well as from the bedrooms is mesmerising! The house was also in great condition, super clean and very good communication with contact person(s). The local market provides us with delicious groceries which we cooked for dinner and enjoyed on the terrace every night. Can highly recommend Villa Marcella! We really enjoyed our stay and have great memories with us from our week in the villa. Decided to stay with Summer In Italy based on reviews and trust worthy website with a wide variation of accommodations around Italy. Will definitely use again when travelling to Italy in the future.

Perfect Amalfi Experience

This house was the perfect place to get a great taste of the Amalfi Coast. It is a bit of a hike from the town center, but the busses were easy to figure out. We liked the quietness and chance to get away from the crowds downtown at night. The house was charming and the view was beautiful.

It’s a very nice place where you feel yourself as a true local, spacious, clean, comfortable. It’s was a real pleasure to deal with Salvatore [the caretaker] and his wife. They made everything to do with checking in and out very smooth and easy. The location of the villa is something to mention since it’s up the many stairs and not for everyone. Overall, we had a great time at this villa. Summer In Italy goes above and beyond to accommodate your every need and answer any questions very promptly.

We loved our stay at Villa Marcella. The view is amazing, very calming and relaxing. Salvatore and Carmela [the caretakers] were the loveliest of the hosts!!! One of the kids got ill and they took us to the doctor and assisted us in every way they could, thanks again!

We had an amazing stay at this apartment

We had an amazing stay at this apartment. It is located in a small village with lemon plantations surrounding it, and with a beautiful view over the ocean. It has three big bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a well-equipped kitchen. The pictures do not do it justice - it looks even more incredible in real life. The apartment is not in the centre of it all, but to us, the location was perfect. It was 10 minutes by bus to Amalfi, and about 35 minutes walking. We could reach the nearest beach - which also turned out to be our favorite in the area - by 15 minutes walking (and 500 or so steps). There is a supermarket five minutes of walking away. We liked that the apartment was not in the middle of a town centre, but others might want something closer to the Amalfi or one of the other towns. Those with mobility issues should note that the area is very hilly with lots of stairs everywhere (as is most of the Amalfi coast).We did not rent a car, and did not feel like we needed to, but I think if you plan to do that then you might have some difficulty finding parking, as there are not many spaces around.
