As advertised, the apartment was 'cozy'. The second bedroom, with bunkbeds, was more like a walk in closet. The lack of working light fixtures over the kitchen area made kitchen work less than ideal. The available hot water forced us into taking 'boat showers', where one gets wet, turns off the water, soaps up, and then turns the water back on to rinse off. The clothes washer is in need of replacement. The first wash we did caused permanent and unwanted changes to some of our garments. We were happy to have earplugs due to the street noise that sometimes went late into the night.
On a positive note, the apartment is close to grocery stores, the Poble Sec Metro station and good restaurants. Unfortunately, the nearby Sant Antoni market was undergoing restoration, so we missed out on that. The person who met us to let us in was very accommodating, showing us the features of the apartment, describing local amenities and answering our questions.
