We love staying at Portofino! This is a great unit with lots of extras like coffee, extra garbage bags, second refrigerator, cooler, beach chairs, umbrellas and beach toys.

The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need. So much room to spread out and have your space on vacation! The third room is a plus with the bunk beds and trundle underneath. It’s where all the kids love to stay!

Spring Break at Portofino

This was a great unit. Spacious, clean, plus little things like extra towels, electric grill on balcony, various cooking supplied, and even some basic seasonings made this a top rental. Property was really nice and offered plenty of amenities as well.

Just an ok stay

This reservation got off to a rocky start. My family has been staying at Portifino for years and the property and staff have always been great. Communication with the property owner was very bad and his responses were curt and not helpful. My sister and her partner had a good time since we couldnt make it, but the room needed a very deep clean when she got there. Overall I would not book with this owner again. Also the beach was pretty dirty and it looked like someone had a party and didnt clean up. Add the smoking, and vaping on the beach, and this was a rocky stay for sure.

Wonderful!

The condo was amazing. We had the perfect amount of beds for 7 ladies, and the kitchen was stocked with appliances and small pantry items. The view from the condo was perfect--you could view the tennis courts, the entrance, and the beach!! Very clean and Michael was such a great communicator and responded quickly. I would definitely rent the condo again and rent from Michael as he was very attentive, kind, and quick to respond. Wonderful, wonderful!!

The front office was very friendly as was 99% of the other staff. The one issue we had was the guy working at the Starbucks which we visited daily. He was a bit rude, not friendly at all. Everyone else had a smile and always said my pleasure, opened doors, answered questions and more. wonderful we booked thru VRBO and it was easy.

This Unit could use a deep clean

Great location and excellent communication with the property manager. This unit could use a deep clean. The floors were dirty, not sandy as you would expect but dirty. The couches and chairs need a steam clean. The beds were clean but could use thicker blankets. Some items we usually expect to be stocked at a Portofino condo were missing like hand soaps and toilet paper.

Rocky start

There seemed to be a mix up with the property manager with the initial on-line booking. I had a confirmation email and paid my fee, but when my whole family walked into the room at 4:30, it was filthy. After calling the property manager, he was able to get someone to clean the room and they finished at 8:30 pm. Very difficult with 4 adults and 7 children, two of which were 8 months. Because of this, the room was not sufficiently stocked with garbage bags, towels, detergent or toilet paper. Very disappointed with how much this unit cost to stay in. I think it was an issue with the property manager. Other than that, beautiful room and facility. Easy walk to the beach and the pools.

Our Stay

We enjoyed our stay at your property. It had gorgeous views of the gulf and sound, and it was clean and well kept. It was our second trip to Portofino and as much as I’d like to say it was relaxing, our nights were very disrupted by the church group that was there at the same time. They were very loud, disrespectful of other people that were paying guests and had no problem pounding on our door and running off. This was very hard on our young children at night and was a big downfall of our trip. I feel like it would have been nice to have a heads up that this group was going to be there and we would have come a different week. It was hard to work everything we wanted to do around when the church kids were either going to be at the pool or the beach… it. Was very busy everywhere. The room was great, the company was a lot.

Having to purchase ice was a little disappointing and the extra fees that I already thought I had paid through vrbo. I felt like there was one fee after another. What I thought I was spending seemed liked I spent another 500 easily in fees. I might be telling myself a story, but that’s what it felt like. I really feel like the front desk was really set the tone for 1st impression which was not good, but as days went on the staff from on the beach to everyone else was on point. I really don’t believe in bad reviews. I believe these our opportunities to become better!

We had a great time at the Portifino Resort in Pensacola! This was our first time there and we will definitely be back. The resort has everything you need and an amazing pool area and you can rent chairs on the beach or bay! My husband and I got massages at the spa and we also loved that we could order food and drinks by the pool!!

The resort was fantastic so much to do on property without having to locate numerous different businesses they seemed to have it all right at the resort! Mike Caprio the Property Manager was amazing! He reached out to us to make sure all went smoothly with check in and that everything met our expectation! Mike even went above and beyond to make sure we had his personal cell phone number so we could call him directly day or night if we had any issues or questions what so ever during our stay! Wow! how often do you get that type on personal customer service! thank you Mike for putting our worries to rest & making our stay Amazing!
