First, the rental is a prime location, walkable to everything in Pensacola Beach. We rarely drove anywhere.
Second, it is a secure building which is more than nice.
Third, the condo was exactly as advertised. Large master bath almost the size of the master bedroom. Open floor plan, and plenty of room in the other bedrooms. And two balconies, one private. We can view sunrises and sunsets from these balconies.
Fourth, the property company was pleasant to talk to.
The caveats: Southern Resorts Customer service was 5-star nice, but 2-star helpful. I've pointed this out to Southern and they explained that they are still ramping back up headcount after the pandemic. The reps I dealt with struggled to provide helpful information (for example, I was literally told to check every drawer, cabinet and console for parking passes that were supposed to be on the kitchen counter - never found them).
We had an issue with the master toilet - it overflowed one night. If I followed the property manager's instructions we would have spent the night with water and feces all over the bathroom floor and it would not have been fixed or cleaned up until 2pm the next day. As I understand it, the after hours plumber was over-deployed. Since I don't follow instructions, I took care of the clean up myself until the plumber arrived. Again, the property manager was very pleasant, just not helpful.
The building is secure but could use some work. For example, everyone uses the same code to get into the building. As far as I know there's no guard on duty so anyone could let someone piggyback onto the premises, which happens a lot.
I've made these points known to the property manager already. And they responded promptly and attentively. So - yes I would use them again.
