We chose this property for our 1st family vacation, me, my husband & 2 boys ages 1.5 & 5 yrs. The clean, homey feeling that I got when looking at the vrbo listing, fenced in back yard, & location of the property made my decision to rent this property an easy one. Once in the house, we immediately noticed that it was not clean. Various things were not done to quality, just fixed up enough to appear as such. The laminate flooring did not touch the wall in some places, a rug was placed over it. Mold on the ceilings in the bathroom, dirty finger prints all over doors & cabinets. A couch pillow had stains. There was an overall dirty musty smell. It does have 4 window AC units (2 in the living room, one not working). My husband cleaned the filters which were completely caked with dust/dirt. The fenced in yard (again a huge reason for choosing this place) was overgrown. A bush had made it's way into the stairs partially blocking the path down to the yard. Ice maker did not work, husband connected a hose & we had ice for our stay. I reached out to Lucky Bird with the understanding things happen but wanted to make them aware. They gave excuses for why the things were the way they were but did not address the mold, said they would be sure to take care of the issues & thanked me for the feedback. A little while later I started looking back at past reviews for the property. All of the issues we experienced have been mentioned to the host in reviews as far back as 2020. The host replies to any reviews mentioning issues saying that they have been resolved. I reached back out to Lucky Bird, this time saying that I didn't feel that it was acceptable that these issues have been brought to their attention YEARS ago. I mentioned that I was charged $150 for a cleaning fee but if this was my home I would not accept the poor quality cleaning service. I wiped down the doors & cabinets & it took no effort which leads me to believe it simply hasn't been attempted for some time. I stated that I would be giving a review & that I truly wish it was a more positive one but I will do all that I can to help prevent future guests from having the same experience as we did (& aparently many other pasts guests). Again, was given excuses, the blame was put on the home owner. I am completely disappointed with the quality of service from Lucky Bird. Osage Beach was amazing and we will return but unfortunately will not return to a Lucky Bird property.
