Fantastic house. We loved our stay. There is a cost for the pool, tram, gym etc. I only found out a one to two weeks prior to arrival.

Spacious house close golf and pool

Close to golf and short walk to pool. Renters pay $50 Per person to use, but beware it closed at 5 p.m until June 15. Pool table was a hit for our group. Owner was quick to work on a problem we had.

Great Home for an Active Family

Our family had a wonderful time at this home. There was plenty of space for a family of 8. The location was a very short walk to the activity center where the children played at the pools. The grocery store was barely a mile away. Bethany Beach was a quick drive in 3 miles. The pool table in the basement was a hit with everyone. The owners were always lovely to answer any questions. Thank you Beth & Steve!

Ok stay

Biggest surprise was that we had to pay for the amenities listed in rental. Nothing indicated that there would be an additional charge for them. First floor master bedroom bathroom had some black grunge on the floor and it had a thick layer of dust on the ceiling fan. Main floor AC always seemed way too cold even when we turned it up to 80 degrees. Rear fence gate broke mid week. We called in about it, but it wasn't fixed before we left. If we stay at Bear Trap again in the future, we'll probably rent directly from them to save all the admin/service fees.

Nice vacation in Bethany Beach

This home is perfect for 2 families with children, there were 7 of use total. 3 families would be a little tight, but could accommodate. The Bear Trap neighborhood is very nice! We enjoyed the pool, gym, tennis courts, playground and beach shuttle! The beach shuttle ran often and provided a quick 10 minute drive to the beach. Check in and communication with the property manager was very easy. We loved that our small dog was able to join on vacation. The house could use several updates, but overall was nice. The kitchen was fully equipped with dishes, pots and pans, but a little light on utensils. The house was dirty and we saw the cleaners leaving when we arrived. Not sure what they actually cleaned? I would recommend the property management find a new cleaning service. Floors, bathrooms and kitchens were dirty, but we didn't let that impact our vacation. Board games or a deck of cards would have been nice for the rainy day, but the pool table and golden tee were entertaining for all. Parking was easy for both of our vehicles. I would give this house a 7 out of 10. Thank you for a great week at the beach!

I don’t have a title

We enjoyed our time together. House was nice and space was good advertised correct. The staff at pool and drivers on shuttle could not have been any more kind. Parking at house was good. It was first we left ourselves be that far from beach (not saying listing was wrong it said 3 mi just didn’t think it take 20-30 min in traffic to go 3 mi and too dangerous to walk that 3 mi due to traffic) and we did not like that and won’t do again. Even to drive to beach on our own finding a place to park was a very long time driving around in circles waiting in place to open. The hours of pool, tennis, shuttle service were available not our preference they all closed 7pm too early to fit in and enjoy. Beach was too full and not easy find place to sit together. Boardwalk to congested all in one small area not spread out like other beaches so long lines for anything. So nothing against the house or owners or staff but we will not be back.

First and last time in Bear trap dunes

Overall the rooms where big, nice game room and kitchen. Place was not very clean. The garage had a bunch of garbage it in so couldn't park in it. The umbrella outside was missing a pole. TV's were all different. One had direct the living room you had to have subscription to streaming. One tv was the size of a computer monitor. Parking was atrocious. Couldn't park in front of the building because all the golfers took all those spots. Pillows looked old and used and yellow. One dryer made a clunking noise when running, the other had to dry clothes twice. Pool was nice. Couch was stained. All beds were hard.

Door locks / entry useless.

On Arrival at 6:30, had to contact realtor to get into property, code for front door did not work. The code given was for back door only. Took ten minutes to get back door open. We put our luggage inside. And went to grocery store. We locked the back door with keyless entry. Tried to get back into back door 7:30...with key code. The door would not open. We tried for an hour to open the door. We called and texted the realtor. Their was no response. We called the police. The police came and could not open the door either. The police called the realtor and there was no immediate response. We decided to go to a hotel. We had driven for 12 hours. All our things were locked in the condo. On our way to the hotel, the police called us and told us to call the realtor again and that she would answer our call... because the realtor returned the police message. We contacted the realtor and she gave us a key code for the front door. The key code worked and opens the front door only, but not without effort. She said she was sorry and would reimburse us for our first night stay. We could not feel secure in the home because the back door could never be locked properly. Some one did come and look at the back door, but did not fix it. Had to wash dishes by hand. Dishwasher is loose in cabinet. Master upstairs bed mattress pad had blood stain. And another stain. Mold on floor corner of tub in hall bath upstairs. Faucet base leaked on countertop in kitchen. Stairs don’t seem to be proper width to second floor. Bushes not trimmed in the back walk way so it scrapes against you. DVD and televisions we used worked. A big thank you to the Police. A big thank you to Beebe medical group for attending to our daughter’s sun rash. A big thank you to Bethany Beach resort area!

Nice size for extended family vacations

House accommodations for extended families is good. Enough rooms for everyone to spread out. However, not super clean (carpets need replaced) and the landscaping hasn’t been done recently (have to walk thru bushes) The biggest disappointment is that there IS NO Bethany beach shuttle (as was advertised in the listing). We picked this property based on the shuttle to the beach. We had to drive and pay daily parking rates.

Delware rental near Bethany Beach

My family and I had a great experience at this rental. Prime location 10 minutes from Bethany beach and 30 minutes from Ro. Beach. Indoor pool was great for the kids along with the tennis courts etc. House was very big with plenty of space and nice bedrooms. Accurate description. Great communication by host and partners.

It was a last minute trip for mothers day with my family. The check in process was a walk in the park no contact and Sue was very helpful. When entering the home it it was everything like the pictures. It was spotless. We enjoyed the pool table and grill. Wonderful home and great communication with Sue.

We really wanted to like this stay...

This property is in need of a true cleaning. There is no way this is performed by a cleaning service regularly. Due to the pandemic we always disinfect commonly touched areas before settling in. In this case I wiped off grim from light switches, counters, door handles and night stands. Not to mention undergarments in the Master bedroom and a used mask in the Twin bedroom. The rest rooms hand no soap so we had to make a store run for that and dish soap . The king bed on the first floor is broken and had MOLD on the pillows. The twin bedrooms Tv is broken with obvious stain on the mattress protector. 3 out of the 5 bedrooms had missing lightbulbs on the fan fixture. Teleworkers beware, the WiFi does not hold steady so teleworking nor family streamed movies nights won’t happen. Hopefully this gets address since it has been mentioned multiple times on previous reviews. This kitchen is in need of a true cleaning! Dishes were sticky and visibly not clean. The dishwasher started leaking once we turned it on so I contacted the property managers. They mention it was working before we came and asked us to change the settings and try again. Switching settings will not fix a gasket issue with a dishwasher. With numerous reviews on this hopefully they get the dishwasher fixed. Washing dishes by hand was not on my vacation agenda. Other than that the location is wonderful! The golf course will not disappoint! This location is perfect for beach days! I hope these peer attend to these things because this place does have potential but it’s missing the mark on some important features.

Golf Getaway

Came with 3 other friends for a weekend of golf and it didn't disappoint. At first, there were a few hiccups with some missing toiletries, but Steve came through right away and fixed the situation. Really great customer service, will visit again. Thanks Steve!

A few improvements and this house would be 5 star

House was clean and had large rooms with comfy beds. Basement set up was fun with pool table and video games. Property mangers were easy to contact and responsive. During our stay it just seemed that a lot of little things kept happening to make our stay a 3 and not a 5. Upon arrival 2 out of 5 bathrooms had toilet paper, there was half a roll of paper towels and no extra trash bags. I contacted Sue who replied promptly and told me to buy them and they would reimburse me. Then we had WiFi issues and couldn't figure out what remote went to what TV. I found bedroom remotes in basement and things were mixed up, but then they didn't work. The TV in twin room wasn't working at all. Sue got someone on the phone who tried to help, but we had to have a technician come out. This sucked up our first day and we thought we resolved the problem with him, but Wifi issues continued throughout our stay. This was an issue as 2 of us were trying to work remotely. The house could use a new dishwasher. It wasn't screwed into the counter top and after 2 tries we hand washed everything. The kitchen faucet could be replaced as well. It leaked every time we turned it on. The water on the refrigerator and ice maker don't work either. There is no pantry space to store dry goods. If you rearrange the dishes and glassware you'd have some pantry space. I didn't want to re-arrange things, so we just had stuff on the counters. There was a cold spell while we were there and we were looking forward to the fireplace, but when we went to turn it on it wasn't operational. We were told owner had it turned off for spring summer. Would have been nice to have and wasn't advertised as seasonal operation. If owner paid a handyman for minor repairs and spent $500-1000 on this place it would be a 5. The WiFi issue is really something to address as well as issues in the kitchen. Otherwise house was roomy and comfy.

Great place and amazing customer service!!!

Beautiful townhouse in a great community. We had such a great time with the pool table and Golden Tee and house is very kid friendly. Amazing customer service with Sue and Steve. Thank you!

We love this home for so many reasons. It is very spacious and luxurious and close to the amenities. The entertainment room has a large pool table and wet bar, TV, and a fun video game. TVs in every bedroom! The weber gas grill out in the back yard is large. We love the award-winning resort community of Bear Trap Dunes because there's so much to do and it's close to everything that the Delaware Beaches have to offer
