Great home for a getaway

Our family had a great stay at this lovely home. Everything was very clean and well stocked for our visit. Owner was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. Would stay here again!

Weekend Stay in April

House was very clean, looked to be newer construction. Beds were very comfortable. Short walk to a beach and short drive to a lighthouse. The kids loved hanging on the beach and exploring the rocks & tidepools.

Perfect home for us!

I booked this home for a long weekend with my family to attend my daughter's wedding. It was pefrect for our stay. Very clean, well laid out, nice neighborhood, lots of space. The kitchen had everything you would want to have in terms of cookware and dishes. I hosted a lobster and steamer dinner and had everything I needed for that. I highly recommend for your stay!

Back for our third year…

We enjoy this home so much we came back for our third stay! This home is sunny, spacious and convenient to Long Sands (short walk), Short Sands, Nubble Light, Dunne’s Ice-cream, Perkins Cove, Marginal Way, restaurants and more…. The kitchen is well appointed making it easy to cook meals. I highly recommend it. We’ll be back next year.

Loved it so much, we stayed here again!

We enjoyed last year’s stay so much we came back again this year! The home is spacious, sunny and spotlessly clean. We loved sitting on the deck to wind down in the evening and cooking dinner in the well appointed kitchen. The short distance to Long Sands beach combines a relaxing, quiet neighborhood with easy access to the beach, eliminating the complexity of parking. The location was a quick drive to shopping at Short Sands Beach and downtown Portsmouth. Kelly is a great hostess. She’s very responsive and a pleasure to work with. We look forward to staying here again.

Girls weekend getaway

Lovely accommodations perfect for us. We went to Portsmouth for most of our activities and it was super convenient. Very clean. Owner very responsive. Parking was the challenge as we had SUVs so it was tight for parking,she even looked up places around for us to find additional parking! good to go!! Thank you! Had Walmart deliver groceries which worked out well!

Beautiful property, horrible checkout experience

This property is beautiful and my family enjoyed our stay. However four days after checkout, I recieved a concerning message and incured additional charges. The fee is not the issue. I am more disheartened that my family would be accused of damaging property and leaving behind a mess that is not reflective of our experience in the home during our stay. We are a family of blue collar employees. My mother still works in the home of a family where she has served as caretaker and nanny for over 20 years. The ability to rent a home and spend a weekend up in Maine is a treat for our family and we treat that opportunity with the respect it deserves. I have never before felt so disrespected by unwarranted accusations. It is not in my nature to publicly air my concerns but in light of the world we live in today it is important that all voices have an opportunity to be heard. Overall a beautiful property in a great location. Just a bad experience on the backend.

Hi Naomi, Thank you for providing this feedback. I can certainly understand and relate to working hard to be able to create memorable experiences with family, so I am thrilled to hear that you were happy with the property and enjoyed your stay here. As mentioned in a previous message, the cleaner and I were unable to make it up to the property until four days after your departure. Fortunately, VRBO has a 14 day window for owners to report any damages in the event that situations like this arise. I hope the detailed message and photos I provided you served as a more thorough explanation rather than “unwarranted accusations” as to why you incurred additional fees. To reiterate, due to the staining that was left on our wall and tub, candy and balloons left throughout the house, and mud caked onto floors from wearing winter shoes indoors, it took our cleaner several hours to restore our home to its original condition. In turn, he charged us an extra fee for the additional time this required. We also needed to replace broken blinds and incurred unanticipated heating costs from a window being left open during these cold temperatures in February. I hope you feel that your voice has been heard and again, we appreciate the kind words regarding our home. Best, Kelly

One of our favorite annual traditions is a trip to the Ogunquit Playhouse, and we usually stay in Ogunquit. This year, we decided to stay in York instead and found it to be a wonderful choice! The beaches and restaurants were fantastic, and everyone we met was so friendly. It was a truly delightful experience!

Comfortable, well appointed, spacious, great location

This bright, airy and spacious home provided a great setting for our beach get away. The combination of a quiet neighborhood and short walk to Long Sands beach was perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed for making meals. I’d stay here again in a heart beat.

So memorable and great location!

Kelley was a great host and provided all the information we needed in a timely manner. There were many beds and bedrooms and we cooked many meals here while visiting the area. Overall an excellent experience and would recommend it to anyone traveling with family. Thank you!!

Super Clean & Great Location

The house is clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. Sofas and beds were comfortable. Kitchen is fully equipped and modern. Loved the stove! It’s not too far from the beach. We knew we had to bring sheets and towels but we were there in April and could have used some more blankets.
