Ivy Cove is located in the The Soundings neighborhood; a family community designed exclusively for boating enthusiasts. The placid waters of Mill Creek, which is considered one of the finest natural harbors available from Chesapeake Bay. Only ten minutes by boat to the Patuxent River and Chesapeake Bay, yet, when you look out over the waters of Mill Creek you have the feeling that you are on the pine-wooded shores of a beautiful Northern Lake.

A newly renovated waterfront cottage with a warm charming appeal capture the unique features of this 1965 home. Take in the beautiful view of Brooks Cove, an inlet off of Mill Creek, from the large wrap around porch while enjoying the morning sunrise. Spend your afternoons paddling around the creek inlets and the evenings relaxing by the fire pit watching the bald eagles sore over the cove. Or take a short ride to beautiful Solomon’s Island. For breath-taking sunsets visit Solomon’s Pier, or take a stroll down the boardwalk to Cone Island.

There are two security cameras located on the property for your security and mine. The first camera is located on the front corner of the home facing the driveway and the second camera is located on the beam above the porch facing the fire pit and the dock. All audio is turned off and these cameras do not face the inside the property.

Holiday Retreat

Property was wonderful, exactly what the family was looking for during the long holiday weekend. Very clean and secure place to stay, especially during a pandemic. Very secluded with water access, easy drive to Solomons and local parks. Highly recommend this property.

Wonderful Holiday Weekend Getaway

We spent New Year's weekend at Ivy Cove and loved every minute of it. The house had everything we needed (shout out for having Old Bay!). The location was perfect and the views were outstanding. KJ is an awesome host. I can't wait to come back in warmer weather and enjoy the kayaks!

Serenic property for relaxing and waterspouts

We had a wonderful stay here - kayaking, camp fires, tv night. The property is lovely - completely redone in the last year and slept all of us comfortably. The owner KJ, was highly responsive when the AC broke our first night. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing property!

We loved our time at Ivy Cove! The cottage is super clean, the beds and furniture are really comfortable, the amenities are great and the view can’t be beat. You can tell a lot of love went into renovating and decorating the cottage. KJ was wonderful to work with. Highly recommend!

Perfect Thanksgiving Getaway

Perfect place for Thanksgiving getaway with family. House was cozy and comfortable with great view of the water. Kids enjoyed all the games- corn hole, air hockey, and board alike. Close to amenities, yet feels secluded and remote. KJ was a pleasure to rent from and had great suggestions for things to do in the area. We hope to stay again during the warmer months to take advantage of the kayaks as well as fishing and swimming from the dock.

Loved Ivy Cove

We can’t say enough great things about Ivy Cove! The home was spotless and well decorated. Great kitchen with everything we needed to prepare a family dinner. The outside space is so pretty and serene. My adult children (ages 19-26) loves kayaking and laying out on the pier and we loved sipping our coffee on the porch in the mornings. Solomons is just a quick 10 min drive away and a nice place to walk around! The main living space was great for us to comfortably enjoy a relaxing movie night! We would love to make staying at Ivy Cove an annual family event!

Perfect Long Weekend Retreat

This property and house are beautiful. Came here for a long weekend with friends to celebrate all of our birthdays and we were not disappointed. The house is tastefully and beautifully appointed, you can tell the owners take great pride in this property. Additionally, the owners go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. We wanted to use the in-ground fire pit, but rain had pooled inside the pit. I contacted KJ to ask what the best way was to empty it out, and he came down himself to do it for us. The only downside, we all agreed, was that we did not stay longer. We would definitely stay here again

Perfect stay

We loved staying at Ivy Cove, which is a beautiful and thoughtfully appointed home, from the inside to the outside. Views are amazing from the entire living space and from the porch. We got to see ospreys building a nest just outside. Everything is recently renovated or brand-new. We had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Kids (3 and 6) enjoyed kayaking and roasting marshmallows around the fire pit outside, and of course the pinball machine downstairs. Very convenient area with supermarket (Giant) and restaurants nearby, plus multiple state parks. Awesome playground at Cove Point Park, and the Marine museum in Solomons Island has otters. KJ was an outstanding host. We’d love to stay again.

Beautiful, clean, and fun getaway

We stayed in Ivy Cove for four nights and had a wonderful time. The house is so clean and well stocked, from the kitchen to the bathrooms to the outdoor gear. We loved the water views from almost the entire house, and especially from the porch swings! We had four adults and two toddlers there for the weekend, and there was plenty of space for us all to have fun. The games and Wurlitzer in the basement were a huge hit for everyone too. We loved seeing so much wildlife around the entire weekend- fish, birds, a bald eagle, a heron, a fox, and more! It was also super convenient to get out to the grocery store, as well as to a nice playground and area attractions. KJ was incredibly responsive and helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed for a great vacation. We look forward to visiting again!

SPECTACULAR!!!!

We had the most amazing Christmas vacation at Ivy Cove! The home is truly spectacular in every way. It is kept in pristine condition, beautifully renovated and decorated , cozy, and has gorgeous views. Relaxing by the fire pit , playing corn hole and watching movies on the comfortable couches are some of things we really enjoyed. KJ is a wonderful and thoughtful host. He gave great suggestions about the surrounding area and was very responsive to any questions we had. Don't hesitate to book if you are considering this home!! Beautiful Home, Great Location

Just completed a week stay at this property. The group consisted of myself, wife, 20 year old son, 17 year old daughter, and her 18 year old friend. All in the group enjoyed themselves. The house itself was beautiful and had everything that was needed for a comfortable stay. The master bed was a bit firm for me, but that is no knock on the bed, it was a quality mattress. There was plenty to do inside with TV's and games in the basement, but we spent little time in the house. The deck on the second floor was our favorite place. I took my morning coffee, we read books, talked, and ate all of our meals out there. The view of the cove was spectacular. My wife enjoyed walking around and taking pictures of the flora and fauna on the property. During the day we kayaked and fished. The fishing was not action packed, but fun enough. Caught some puppy drum, white perch, croaker, and spot. Had a snakehead following the lure but he would not commit. Taking the kayaks out to explore the cove and the neighboring coves was fun. the water was generally flat and not too much boat traffic. The girls enjoyed spending the afternoon floating in a double tube we brought with us tied up to the dock. The jelly fish were not too bad and caused no issues. We were greeted each morning by a beautiful Northern Water Snake which would swim past the dock and then come back each evening. Wonderful coloring on him. There were birds galore to watch and listen to as well.

Family Celebration

Quite: This riparian home sits in a mature neighborhood along the headwaters of a large creek. Neither car nor boat noise is obtrusive. Secluded: Large trees on the property, and throughout the neighborhood, in addition to the natural topography of the area provided uninterrupted privacy. Outdoor Comfort: The deeply overhung wrap around porch and generous seating enabled hours of reading and lounging for our party of 5. The double hammock and hexagonal picnic table also enjoy shade from the tree canopy. There is a park bench on the pier and foldable chairs available for even more seating. Indoor Comfort: A new 3-piece suite in the living room, along with a ceiling fan and flat screen, rendered evening entertainments a delight. The kitchen has EVERYTHING - full stop! The bedrooms are cozy with a ceiling fan in the primary. The bathrooms, like the kitchen, have updated tiles, fixtures, etc. Bedding and towels are all new and soft. Activities: Three kayaks & life vest, fishing polls, pier, corn hole, pin ball, and arcade games were a real hit with our crowd. All implements are clean and in good working order. We also enjoyed evening constitutionals in the neighborhood. The Host: KJ is welcoming and kind. It is obvious that he takes great pride in this listing. The house and environs are all well appointed and maintained. We have stayed in many VRBO listings in the past and can honestly say that this is one of, if not the, best.

Such a nice home on the water at Mill Creek. Our group enjoyed crabbing on the dock and relaxing on the covered porch. House is very comfortable, in a quiet neighborhood and is close to Calvert Cliffs and Solomons Island. The owner KJ lives close by if you need anything. Would definitely recommend. Hope to return sonn.

My wife and I had an absolutely incredible experience! From the moment we stepped into this waterfront home, we were blown away. The views of the water are stunning. The home itself is spacious, clean, beautifully designed, and tastefully appointed. Every room feels like a peaceful retreat, and the outdoor deck is perfect for enjoying the breeze and taking in the views.The attention to detail is evident throughout, from the furnishings to the fully stocked kitchen. The game room was a blast. We also enjoyed the private dock and the easy access to the water—it’s a great spot for kayaking, crabbing or simply relaxing by the shore and enjoying the firepit.The host KJ was great and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. If you are looking for a place to relax and undwind, this is the place. Can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend!

3rd stay, wonderful, again.

There is no better place to unwind and chill. Sit on the porch, enjoy the natural sights and sounds of the cove. Kj makes sure the place is super comfortable, clean and fun. Enjoy kayaking, crabbing, fishing, cornhole and just simple relaxation, we love this place!

The property was beautiful and exactly as pictured. Secluded location with everything you would ever need to enjoy the landscape. We had kids with us and it was a perfect set up for water activities. Amazing stay!

The home and property couldn't have been more beautiful and peaceful! Every detail was looked after for a comfortable stay and felt immediately at home. The views were stunning and the home and outside areas had so much privacy, despite being only a few minutes away from anything you might need. 10/10, would definitely stay again!
