Wonderful 2 weeks spent with family, we also had a few friends visit during our stay, it is the perfect layout for entertaining and all the extra activities were brilliant for all the teens (boules, archery, badmignton, ping pong and of course the pool). The place was very clean and welcoming, it has everything you need.

Lovely gite in the countryside just outside Issigeac. Bernadette is a great host - very responsive to the minor issues we had. The gite is very well equipped with a lovely pool and plenty of games.

A lovely well appointed house with a beautiful outside garden and various views. The hosts were always ready to help with any questions we had during are stay. Would definitely recommend the property .

Beautiful property with so much character! We loved preparing meals and sitting outside for dinner in the evening sun. Very peaceful yet still close to the town. Loved being in the countryside with lots of wildlife and watching the farmers work from a distance. Everything was very new and good quality. Pool was excellent. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful stay in a beautiful location

We stayed here for a month and loved it. The surroundings are stunning and the house is beautiful, clean and if we ever needed anything Bernadette was there to help us. We had family visit at different times and all really enjoyed it. The pool is great too. Would highly recommend. It has everything you need including a table tennis table!

A lovely property in a lovely area of France. The house was stocked with almost everything you needed (no salt and pepper oddly). Lots of outdoor games to play which kept us all entertained. Amenities were a short drive away with good restaurants in Bergerac. Opening times for shops and restaurants are unpredictable so do your homework before venturing out. It’s important to read the dozens of house rules at the start to avoid issues later.

We had such an incredible time at this gîte. Bernadette was amazing and so helpful. The location of the house is perfect, completely peaceful and yet a gorgeous 25 minute walk along a country lane into Issigeac. The house is stunning, beautifully decorated and we found everything we needed. We loved the pétanque and table tennis and the pool was a delight. We all loved everything about our stay and hope to return in the future.

Issigeac cottage

The cottage is delightful, really beautiful and in a very peaceful location. The smell from the septic tank was a bit overwhelming in the two downstairs bedrooms unfortunately and tou can hear everything that happens in the rooms above/below you so you’ll need to stay with good friends! The pool was very welcome and lots of games equipment outside too. Lovely owner and the outside space to eat is really good. Plenty of crockery & pots and pans too although it was a little inconvenient you can only run the dishwasher and washing machine at night. Absolutely beautiful area and great value for money.

Beautiful house

The house was even nicer than the pictures. You can walk across the fields and lane to town, but you really are better driving. There is a big garden with plenty of space for the children. Everything you need for 10 people to enjoy inside and out, plenty of seating and sun beds. Bernadette has a good eye and the house is very tastefully decorated. Queries were answered very quickly. We were unlucky to have a power cut which resulted in a broken pool pump, but the host was quick to respond. A couple of things to mention…the pool needed cleaning and although this was done it could have been ready when we arrived. The cesspit needed emptying, and again although it was done it could have been done before we arrived. The smell in the one bedroom was almost unbearable until sorted. Would recommend this house and would go again.

Fabulous cottage in a remarkable location

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this delightful cottage just outside the picturesque medieval village of Issigeac and it truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the charm and tranquility of the property. The cottage is perfectly situated at the gates of Issigeac, making it an ideal base for exploring this enchanting village and the surrounding Dordogne region. It has a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort, is very spacious, tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean and well maintained. The kitchen is well-equipped and there is an outdoor barbecue so there is everything needed to prepare meals, which we enjoyed on the beautiful newly built outdoor terrace. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, with high-quality linens and en suite facilities and there is lovely large lounge for relaxing after a long day. One of the highlights of our stay was the extensive grounds in a private and serene environment. We spent many hours on the terrace or by the pool taking in the views of the countryside. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. This charming cottage provided us with a memorable and relaxing stay in the heart of the Dordogne and French countryside, we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Issigeac area.

Superbe et apaisant

Accueil cordial et maison magnifique. La maison est vraiment bien équipée, décorée avec goût et au calme. La piscine est agréable et la terrasse parfaite pour le soir. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'emplacement, un peu loin de tout et au calme.

Rustige en mooie lokatie

Heel fijn verblijf: net, rustig en afgelegen met 5 kamers. Enkel één kamer boven met klein venstertje en geen koeling was door de warmte niet te doen.

Une maison agreable

Nous recommandons cette maison, elle est très agréable et idéalement bien placé pour passer un sejours en Dordogne. La maison et son jardin est très bien entretenu. La gérante est très serviable, à l'écoute pour que nous passions un bon séjours.
