Emerald Waters is a beautiful Florida cottage-style home located on Lake Christine. This three-story home has three bedrooms and three full bathrooms. Emerald Waters features multiple outdoor living spaces with views of both the lake and the beautiful Emerald Coast. The house sits steps away from the beach and the community swimming pool. The first floor has an outdoor shower and a large screened-in porch. For the children, there is a large custom-built sandbox sure to make memories. The second floor is home to two spacious bedrooms. One bedroom has a king bed and a twin window bed. The second has three twin beds. One of the two living areas is located on the second floor. Both residing spaces feature cozy fireplaces. There are also two gorgeous balconies facing both the Gulf and Lake Christine. The third features a coastal kitchen with beautiful white appliances. For dining, there is a large table that seats at least eight people. The second living area is located off the kitchen with views of the ocean. The master suite is located on the top floor with a private balcony overlooking the lake. The master suite has both his and her vanities, a walk-in shower, and a separate tub. Enjoy Emerald Waters and the Destin Pointe community.

THINGS TO KNOW:
Seasonal beach service (one umbrella and two chairs) is included. This service begins March 15 and ends October 31.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Great location. House is slightly dated and requires some maintenance. Ice maker in the basement and main refrigerator is not working. Washer and dryer seem to be in consistent in its operation

Beware all is not as it appears

The neighborhood was clean and quiet. The walk to the beach was not far at all. The pool pictured is definitely not even close to reality. This house is not as it appears in the pictures. Upon arrival you notice the top balcony ceiling covering hanging off in large strips and the fence all bent over. When entering we noticed the screen doors were missing, the garage door openers did not work (not for a very long time it appeared) and the inside of the doors were so rusted that when you finally got them pushed up and your car backed in the rust falls all over you and/or your car. There is definitely not parking for 4 cars unless they are 4 very small cars.The screen doors were both missing. Once we entered the house we were happy to see a free standing ice maker on the ground floor however, it did not work and had mold inside. The floors were all dirty. There was dirty laundry in the clothes hamper. The fridge was very small for a house of this size/capacity and was barely cold enough to keep food cold, the drawers inside were cracked making them hard to open and shut. There were roaches in the house. Not to mention dirty dishes, with food on them, drinks in pitchers, etc. all stacked neatly in the cabinets with the clean dishes. Lights switches were missing knobs. Windows missing blinds. These are only a few of the issues. I did reach out to the rental company with all these issues. Their response was they were refunding the cleaning fee, they would need to contact the owner about the bugs (I am amazed there wouldn’t be a service already in place). They thought the ice maker was being removed before our arrival. And all else was ignored. By the shape of the house and lack of response it is clear neither the rental company cares nor do the owners. The pictures being shown are very outdated, the house is not as it appears. The ocean view is blocked by a new home. Sent from my iPad

Great home!

We have stayed at this home two times. It is comfy and cozy and really close to the beach. The only complaint that I really have is that the King mattress in the master bedroom desperately needs to be replaced. The house could use some updates on the exterior but our family loves to vacation here. It is reasonably priced for the area. We plan to return to this home again in the future!!

We had a great trip!

The house was clean. It was in need of a lot of repairs. It was run down more than any other houses on the street on the exterior. The ice maker did not work so we had to buy bagged ice. The beds were comfortable. The master was a little lopsided and there was not a comforter. There were plenty of toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, etc. and extra sheets were out for the sofas. The kitchen was stocked with everything that we needed. The neighborhood and location was perfect! The pools were closed the entire week for maintenance. There is a house that was not in the pictures blocking the ocean view. The 4 bicycles were nice to use. When returning, we would still stay here again. Overall, it was a wonderful vacation!

Getaway to relac

We had a great time staying at emerald waters. The house is dated but still has a nice beach vibe. The location is perfect. We felt safe and our kids enjoyed every minute. We were unable to get the TV's to work in the main living areas. But we brought our amazon fire and that worked. Overall we were very satisfied. Good place for family with kids.

Great location and house, just a few minor issues

Things we really enjoyed about the house: - Proximity to the beach was great; right across the street and a couple of houses down was the beach access. Note that the pictures showing the beach view with the empty lot in front of the house in the listing are no longer accurate - there is a house there, but there is still a beach view (although more limited) - Being close to the jetty at the end of the beach was nice - the beach was generally not extremely crowded and we felt safe in terms of COVID-19 - The pool was also really nice - we had 3 toddlers in our group who all enjoyed the gradual walk-in nature of the pool - The living spaces were good - big dining table and nice sized living rooms - The house had a small set of beach toys, chairs, cart, etc. which was appreciated Critiques: - Refrigerator - The fridge did not get very cold (not enough to spoil things but not super cold despite it being on the coldest setting). Also, the icemaker produced maybe 5-10 total cubes while we were there - there is a crack and hole in the bottom tray that may be causing some of these issues. I texted the Vacasa support line and never heard back on these. - The master bed has some sagging that made it uncomfortable, I would recommend replacing it.

Great Place!

Close to beach and pool with a beautiful partial view of the beach/ocean. The house is very well equipped and the beds are super comfortable. A big plus for me is the garage area to drop all your beach stuff and leave the sand outside.

Interior is very plain and boring, no curtains so it did not have a homey feeling, but a great house for our family. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch at night and being able to listen to the waves. If the owner would put up some curtains and warm the Decor up it would be ideal
