The property manager was adequately helpful.
The vacation rental was very dirty.
I was very happy with the location.
I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

When we arrived before 6 pm we found a white coating of dust (appeared to be drywall dust) all over floors and surfaces. I started trying to clean it up before how widespread I realized it was. We don’t want to walk around or touch anything without cleaning. However, a second more thorough cleaning was needed. I contacted the office and they arranged to have housekeeping come the next day at noon to clean. They did a good job, except the very soiled rug in the bedroom was something I had to endure for our six night stay. I asked for compensation, saying the minimum should be a refunding of our cleaning fee. That’s what they did, the minimum. There were other issues we had to deal with that I didn’t bother further communicating with the office. Was already fatigued with trying to make things right. The kitchen faucet leaked, the stove was old and not all burners functioned properly. The handle on the outside of the balcony door was missing and there were rusty screws. Not a pleasant stay in this unit. It would have seemed with the inconvenience of the condition upon arrival and the soiled carpeting, that Destin Pointe Realty would not have had to have me ask twice about compensation, and would have offered a bit more, but they did not.
