Secluded, Cozy Cottage in the Shenandoah Valley

Escape to our comfortable and well appointed cottage in the mountains. This one bedroom one bath with additional loft is the perfect retreat. The spacious deck is ideal for sipping coffee in the morning, reading and napping in the afternoon and star gazing at night. The property sits on over 90 acres to explore and a hot tub to soak in after. There are beautiful hiking trails a few steps from the cottage and the famous Skyline Drive is just a 20 minute drive away. There are several beautiful wineries a few miles from the cottage. Enjoy the evenings by the fire pit (we have wood available for you). We also have a wood burning fire place for chilly nights and a gas grill for your convenience.
The cottage has free wifi (Starlink!) and a smart TV.
There are 2 towns close by for provisioning, shopping and meals out.
We have a generator that will automatically turn on and power the entire cottage in case there is a power outage.
Peace and quiet with all the comforts of home. Like us, you won’t want to leave.

Please be aware that we do have a security camera located on the upper deck that is pointed at the driveway and one at the entry door.

We had an amazing much needed time away. This cottage had everything that you could need while being away from home. We especially enjoyed watching the hummingbirds from the porch and the mama deer with her babies when driving up the lane. Having drinks in the hot tub in the evening was the perfect end to our days.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage! The location was peaceful and relaxing, and the cottage was clean, beautifully decorated, and well stocked. We especially enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, and sunrises on the deck.A couple of things could use some attention. The bed was very squeaky and the frame felt a little unstable, and the deck furniture was uncomfortable and seemed a bit worn. We also agree with other guests that the hot tub isn’t quite as secluded as the listing suggests.Overall, we had a wonderful weekend and would definitely recommend this cottage for a relaxing Shenandoah Valley getaway!

It was such a nice getaway for My Wife and I! Pretty secluded other than the house up the mountain but it was far enough away to have privacy! Loved the flowers,birds,fire (which had dried wood and kindling ready) hot tub was so nice on the cool July night. And areas to hike on the property was also nice there was a beautiful view through the trees as a few spots! Loved it!

Second Valentines weekend stay here and it was just as memorable as the first. Such an awesome house in a great centralized location for all of the area wineries. The owners do such a great job making you feel welcome and comfortable during your stay.

The cottage was beautifully designed and decorated, and very welcoming. Loved the fireplace and the large shower. The remote setting was really peaceful and lovely for enjoying the hot tub under the stars.

My Wife and I had a babysitter, and a chance to get away for a long weekend. The cottage was a nice quiet place to give us a relaxing weekend. The hot tub was awesome too. This is such a beautiful, quaint cottage. Sunrises on the deck were absolutely beautiful with the mountain view. The house was decorated nicely with all the antique touches. It was great to enjoy the hot tub and outdoor fire pit as well.

The check in process was smooth but when we arrived there were dozens of ants, lady bugs, and wasps all over the inside of the house. I also got sick while I was there from drinking the tap water. Hot tub was nice.

Hi Lottie. I'm sorry your experience wasn't better for you. We ocassiinally deal with the Ladybugs but we have never had an ant problem. We will look into that. As far as the tap water goes, we have a very high tech culligan filtration system and our water is very good mountain water. But I am sorry you got sick during your stay. Sincerely- Lori Gust

Beautiful weekend get away

This was an amazing stay! Perfect to totally relax or explore the beautiful area at your own pace. The house was very clean and you can’t beat the remote location.
