Very cute cottage, nice layout, well equipped, wonderful comfy beds and bedding, beautiful countryside, and my favourite thing was the water quality was amazing. However, it's quite dark downstairs and we needed the lights on bright mornings, the main bedroom is light but no view as velux windows. Unfortunately there was a strong dank musty smell downstairs and we had to have the door and windows open all day and evening, I think perhaps a plumbing issue from the washing machine but the dresser cupboard nearest smells too.

Lovely Barn in a Beautiful location. The Barn was fully equipped with everything we needed and was lovely and clean. Really enjoyed our stay. The hosts are lovely and welcoming.

Lovely cottage stay

Our family enjoyed a beautiful stay in your gorgeous barn conversion. We were welcomed with a lovely bouquet of fresh flowers. The cottage had everything our family needed for a relaxing stay. Fresh towels and linen were provided along with wood for the fire and everything in the kitchen. We loved everything about our stay from the sweet touches of sheep in each room to the wake up call from the cows. Booking, check-in, and check-out couldn’t be easier. Communication with the host was always easy and timely. Thank you Christine and Shaun for a beautiful stay!

Sweet little cottage. Down stairs WC so handy. Well equipped, nice little court yard. Sofa a bit low, TV small and bed was a bit creaky. But would stay again

Quiet and tidy comfortable and spacious cottage.

We stayed for two weeks in the cottage to explore the National Trust properties and Devon. The cottage and location was perfect for it. I would recommend it.

Idyllic countryside barn

We loved every second of our stay in The Barn. Very central for exploring the region and it was lovely to return to a quiet and comfortable home each night. The shower in the bathroom has great pressure and the amenities were everything we needed. Felt very welcome and safe during our stay.

Lovey property

We stayed for four nights as our daughter is at Exeter University and had a reading week. We were able to have some great days visiting the area and have a chilled out and relaxed time. Property was very nice in a great location and handy to get around. Would recommend to similar people or to anyone wanting to explore South Devon. Great Stay!

A really great barn conversion, we found it very comfortable and had all amenities, beautiful situation and very convenient to many Devon towns. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Lovely barn conversion

The property was very nice and as good as expected.Well equipped bar a dodgy can opener and a rather difficult ceramic hob for someone who has never used one. Peaceful location, close to a local pub and the only downside a barking dog early in the morning. The hostess responded immediately to any problems.

We moved to Devon with our young family in 2006. We both run our own businesses from home and enjoy a rare quality of life with our sons in this beautiful rural location. We spend our summers fishing and surfing and our winters on various rugby pitches and enjoying some of the beautiful local walks with our dogs. We look forward to sharing it with you.

This is the ideal location for a family holiday taking in both city and countryside. You are surrounded by Devon's iconic rolling green hills but close to the city of Exeter for shopping and cinema so theres something to do every day whatever the weather. Cornwall is an hour away with its golden beaches, surfing and tourist destinations including Rock, Padstow and locations from Rosamund Pilcher, Poldark and Doc Martin. Organic local produce is widely available and fresh fish is available at our local farm shops. Local pubs cater for all tastes and provide a warm welcome.

We love the house and the gardens and we enjoy panoramic views and an outdoor lifestyle. Devon is an ideal place to bring up a family and the house is not only a home, but a hub for our extended family and our "office space"when working from home.
We are within 15 minutes of Exeter station providing a high speed rail link to London (2 1/2 hours) and Plymouth's continental ferry link is only an hour away.
