Our guests enjoy the open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, spanning two stories. Relax on the back deck or explore the serene backyard.

Tahoe Donner is perfectly situated near some of the best ski resorts in Tahoe. This includes North Star, Palisades, and Sugar Bowl. In the summer, it's only a 10 minute drive down to Donner Lake. There are also tons of running and biking trails right down the street, in addition to a beautiful golf course.
Guests will have access to the entire home.

TAHOE DONNER AMENITIES:
Starting January 1, 2025, we will provide up to six Short-Term Tenant amenity cards for access to the Tahoe Donner Amenities for our guests. Each card will allow one individual access to Tahoe Donner's private amenities with a Daily Access Fee of $24 per person. Please note, the $24 daily access fee is paid by the guest to the Tahoe Donner HOA upon arrival to the facilities. Access may be limited during peak times, so plan accordingly to enjoy the full experience! For more information on amenities please visit Tahoe Donner's website

The home is located 15 minutes from downtown Truckee, approximately 25 minutes from Northstar Ski Resort and about 3 hours from San Francisco. Lake Tahoe is a quick 20-25 minute drive. Other ski resorts, such as Squaw and Alpine Meadows are very close as well! The opportunities are endless! Lyft, Uber, and Taxis operate in the greater Truckee area.
HOME TRUTHS:
☆ Like most homes in Lake Tahoe we do not have air conditioning, but we do supply a portable fan for the lower levels and ceiling fans in both upstairs bedrooms and bathroom.
☆ We are not responsible for uncontrollable circumstances inherent to Lake Tahoe such as poor air quality during wildfire season and snow during the winter months. We recommend 4WD, chains, or snow tires in the winter and if you would like to protect your trip, we recommend the purchase of external trip insurance in the event your travel plans change or you need to cancel. Our cancellation policy will stand.
☆ The backyard is not accessible in the winter months (November - May).
☆Outdoor furniture may not be available in the winter months (October - May).

When we first walked into the cabin, we knew we had found "the one"! We loved the feel of the house, and the perfect location within Tahoe Donner. It felt so right! We are avid skiers and bought the place primarily as a ski cabin. We were also newly married (for the second time each), and blending our families, so we thought this would be the perfect place to create our new family's traditions. The kids loved coming here, and we indeed shared many good times that have become family lore. But what we didn't anticipate was how much we would use the cabin in the summer! We actually use it more in the Summer/Fall than we do in the Winter, which we did not anticipate. We LOVE hiking, biking, golf, tennis, and sailing from the Tahoe Donner private marina on Donner Lake. The cabin is where we can relax, and get in touch with nature and each other. As soon as we turn onto Hillside Drive, our spirits lift, and we feel ourselves entering into our special happy place. We hope you feel the magic too, and enjoy your stay.
