Surf Park House has a truly unique Jacksonville Beach story.
Originally built as an Army barracks at Camp Blanding, this home was moved to Jacksonville Beach by train in 1948. Today it has been completely renovated while still preserving a piece of local history. We hope you enjoy experiencing a little slice of Jacksonville Beach’s past while staying here.

Located just 3 short blocks to the ocean, Surf Park House places you right in the heart of Jacksonville Beach. Walk or bike to the beach, grab coffee, enjoy local restaurants, or meet friends at nearby beach bars. As Jacksonville Beach locals, we love sharing our community and all the incredible things that make the Beaches area special.

Only 3 blocks from the beach, yes please! We stayed here for a week, the house was the perfect for my family, cozy and yet spacious , beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms, nice back yard, and the best was the outdoor shower. My kids loved it. Heather was quick in our communication which was very reassuring. Lots of places to walk to, we look forward to staying here again.

We have stayed at this property more than a handful of times over the years. It is the best at Jax Beach. A couple of blocks from the ocean and restaurants and shops. Quiet area and the house is spectacular with an even more spectacular fenced backyard. What a way to relax an enjoy beach life!

This house is a perfect home away from home! Convenient stores and restaurants nearby. Short walk or drive to the beach. The fenced in yard with plenty of seating was perfect spot for our dogs and us to relax. The property is clean and well taken care of care of! Would return and recommend!

We had a great time! The house was excellent and Heather was amazing! We have a large dog that goes everywhere with us and we loved there was no weight limit for him or mandatory kennel! My husband actually forgot to click that we would be bringing him and I didn't realize until the day before. Got in touch with Heather and she immediately fixed it. Would absolutely go back. Also love the history of the house

This is the perfect location if you are looking for a place anywhere from Ponte Vedra to Atlantic Beach. Super convenient to everything we wanted to do, especially going to the beach. Had a great time!

Short beach getaway

When we discovered this home, we immediately loved its history and character. We carefully renovated it to bring in modern comforts while keeping the spirit of its past. It’s amazing to think about the journey this home has taken—from a military barracks to a welcoming beach retreat just blocks from the ocean.

As Jacksonville Beach locals, we love sharing this special place with visitors. The Beaches community is full of friendly people, great restaurants, surf culture, and outdoor adventures. Our goal is for guests to feel like they’re not just visiting, but experiencing Jacksonville Beach like a local.

We hope that while you’re here you’ll enjoy the same things we do—morning walks to the beach, bike rides through the neighborhood, great seafood nearby, and relaxing evenings under the coastal sky.

We chose this neighborhood because it truly captures the authentic Jacksonville Beach lifestyle. It’s the kind of place where you can walk or bike to the beach in just a few minutes, grab coffee or breakfast nearby, and end the day with dinner or live music at one of the local beach restaurants.

One of the things we love most is how close everything is. The ocean is just 3 blocks away, and restaurants, bars, and shops are even closer. You can park your car when you arrive and spend most of your time exploring the area on foot or by bike.

At the same time, the neighborhood still feels peaceful and residential, with friendly neighbors and a relaxed coastal vibe that makes Jacksonville Beach so special.

For us, this area represents the best of beach living—walkable, welcoming, and full of local character. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the sun, surf, and everything the Beaches community has to offer. 🏖️🏄‍♂️🐾
