This home was perfect for our group of friends for Thanksgiving; an en-suite for everyone, a nicely stocked kitchen and plenty of space. We enjoyed exploring Cape Charles.

A birthday celebration weekend

My family and a few friends stayed and we enjoyed the house. It was beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable. The location had beautiful views and the balcony was a great place to sit and enjoy. The bedrooms were a nice size and it was great to have so many bathrooms. The living room and the dining room allowed enough space for us to be able to gather and interact. I love that there were fishing rods available and we did use them. The extra refrigerator in the garage definitely came in handy. When we had questions, Cesar was always responsive. When we first saw the house online we were impressed and when we arrived we were not disappointed. I love that we were able to see the amazing sunsets by walking a few steps to the beach. Our extended weekend there was great and we all agreed that we would stay there again.

Great location

Check in very easy, and owner was responsive however it appears the cleaning person hasn’t been there in a while, lots of cobwebs/flies in home. It’s a beautiful area, as is the home, but is need of some maintenance repairs primarily leaking faucets, showers, and water dripping from ceiling from upstairs shower , and had an outside faucet that wouldn’t shut off. Plenary of room for a large group of people

Enjoyed our stay at Cape Charles

Cape Charles is an amazing place to visit. There were many things we loved about the house and its location but I would warn anyone who has several families going together, that there is only one fob to get you in the gate for the community. That meant someone had to go to the gate to let others in unless all your families do everything together. If you have kids or teens or other families who rent golf carts and want to do their own thing, this creates a huge inconvenience because only one person can have a fob.

Perfect Family Beach House

House was just as advertised with so much space for us and our children and grandchildren. The town was lovely and the beach was perfect for smaller children. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Nice and as described.

Communication was good, quick and easy. There were some things that needed to be addressed and I have spoken to the owner. All is good with that. We would stay again! Nice, clean with beautiful views!

Amazing home

We had such an amazing stay, and a gorgeous home! Everything worked out so well, especially having a short walk to the c pier! The housekeeper was awesome too! Loved the master suite, the upstairs living room, the huge bathroom and the sun deck. We had everything we needed and made use of the little things there for everyone — beach chairs etc. The home owner was wonderful to work with and communication was smooth. Our parents, brothers and their wives, and three kids had the space we needed and everyone was comfortable! We will never forget this experience and the hospitality! One of the most gorgeous homes I’ve ever stayed in.

Great house, perfect for large family!

House is beautifully decorated. Very close to the beach - public access is just five houses down. Beach area was so quiet and private, we never had company. We rented bikes and a kayak from Poseidon, highly recommend - they are awesome. Did not use the canoe that came with the house since it was buried in the backyard. The porch is awesome, has a lovely swing and looks out to the water. There are also a few rocking chairs that make it a great place to hang out! House comes with all linens including beach towels plus most bathrooms had hand soaps and shampoo/conditioner which was awesome!!! The kitchen has a lot in it but there were some basics missing. We messaged the host and the next day his cleaning lady dropped everything off. That would have been fantastic if she hadn’t delivered it with rudeness and a major attitude. Hopefully that is addressed before the next guests stay! There are no laundry baskets, BYO if you plan to do laundry. There are a bunch of beach chairs, sand toys, and balls. We brought most of our own but knowing what’s there I would have packed less!

A great stay!

My family and I traveled to Cape Charles over the Fourth of July and had a really great stay! The location of the property is awesome - the gated neighborhood is pretty quiet and great for walking or running in the mornings. It's a short golf cart drive away from the public access beach. The house is lovely! Very much like the pictures show. There are some areas and some furniture that are showing some wear, but all in all, it's a really good layout and an impressive home! The beds and linens are SO COMFY, and the sheets and towels were very clean! My only wish is that there was more hand soaps in the bathrooms when we arrived, though this wasn't something we brought up to the owner because we ended up just grabbing some at the local grocery store. Some did get dropped off inside the home on our second day, though we found it a little odd the owner/property manager didn't let us know someone was stopping by. All in all, it was an awesome stay at this house, and we want to thank the owner so much for letting us use their home for a much-needed family getaway! I definitely recommend the property for the location, layout, and cleanliness/comfort of the bedrooms!

Beautiful Beach House

The house has a nice layout, and is equipped with modern amenities. Location is very near the water with some views. It was a bonus to have beach chairs (in great shape!) and beach towels included.

Cape Charles

The location and house size was perfect. There were 12 of us and plenty of space for us to spread out. Our only complaint was the house is definitely worn out and lacks pots and pans for cooking and does not have enough seating for all of us to eat at the same time. We too have a VRBO and have made sure our kitchen is full stocked and equipped for our guests and have ample seating for the amount of guests we allow. Both of these are easy fixes. We still had a wonderful time.

Perfect for family getaway

We had siblings, spouses, children, friends, and grandchildren stay for a long weekend. Everyone had their privacy, as well as common space to socialize. Convenient to historic district. Loved the views and quiet strolls! A great property!!

Great Stay!

Property was perfect for a a large group with children. Definitely get a golf cart - it made it so easy and fun to explore this adorable town. Private beach is nice but the public beach is super close, bigger and is better if the tide is out. I asked the owner a question about finding the beach towels (I couldn't) and he had 12 shipped to the house 24 hours later. Excellent communication and service. Will definitely book again if we go back to Cape Charles.

The house was beautiful. Perfect for our family. The area was fun. We rented golf carts to get around everyone one loved using them. The town was easy to navigate. There was always easy parking the beaches were great for kids!

Vacation bliss

Cesar was easy to work with, the house was great. We rented golf carts to get to the pool and into town. Would definitely stay here again, lots of room to accommodate 11. The extra fridge was a welcome addition for beverages and leftovers.

Family vacation house

This house worked great for our extended family vacation. We had seven adults and seven kids (seven and under) with adequate sleeping for all. The front deck with a swing allowed for evening socializing for the adults. The bunk room allowed most of the kids to room together comfortably. Almost all the rooms had smart TV’s allowing for entertainment for different age groups. The second refrigerator in the garage was a plus. Golf carts are the common means of transportation in the area. You need to book your golf cart reservation very early (10-12 months) if you are going in the summer months. We were able to get a last minute cart rental through the marina (Sunset by the Bay golf carts). The community pool is a solid 10+ minute golf cart ride away in the other part of the community. It was not crowded at the end of June and early July. There are two private beaches you have access to (short walk or 15+ minute golf cart ride), but we preferred the public beach in town which was about 5 minutes away in the golf cart. Overall great experience with a wonderful host.

Great house and location for a friends beach trip

It was great to have plenty of space for our group and close proximity to the beach and in a quiet neighborhood for walks and scooters. The private beach was a little small and had seaweed so we did some time at the public beach but was an easy run over and it was great having access to both plus the Baycreek pools. Nice layout, some stuff is showing a little wear and needed some more glassware but otherwise was a wonderful house and we are very grateful to Cesar for letting us stay!

Great for large group

The space in this house is hard to beat in Cape Charles. We had five couples/families together and each had their own bathroom. There are two living rooms were great. I agree with other reviewers that the home is beginning to show some wear from heavy rental use (for example, the dishwasher was a little wonky, there were only two wine glasses, wear on furniture and floors). But if you have a large group coming to Cape Charles, I wouldn't hesitate to book this home.
