Perfect Pohara getaway

We absolutely loved our stay at Pohara - we had been before and stayed at the campground, but this time wanted to bring our dog (he is a part of our family after all!) and this was the perfect place. We loved being able to walk down the driveway and be in the water within 2 minutes! The seat across the road at the end of the driveway was the perfect place for a morning cup of tea. So much room at the house and everything we needed (and more). Hopefully we will be back!

Excellent bach

This bach is one of the better equipped and well appointed that I have stayed at. Lovely and clean and a really good indoor/outdoor flow. Very nice quality overall. Nice touch from the Property Managers to offer goodies to be available on arrival. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic spot in Golden Bay

Fantastic property in close proximity to amenities in Takaka. We enjoyed time on the beach at Pohara and the wonderful nearby access to Kahurangi and Abel Tasman National Parks for tramping and running. Comfortable base with plenty of room for the family. Highly recommend and excellent service from agent.

Pohara

Lovely and comfortable house, we loved our stay and hope to be back someday. The kitchen was the best equipped we have found (though a cheese grater would be a good addition!). The garden is completely enclosed so our dog was safe. Only minutes to the beach, and walks along the coast. Would recommend the local pub for food and atmosphere and good music.

Lovely relaxing stay

A great location, directly across the road from the beach (but on a back section) and a short stroll to the dairy for ice-creams, to a cafe for coffee or to a restaurant or bar for dinner. The beach was great for kids - shallow, lots of sand to dig in and driftwood and shells to examine. The house had everything we needed, and was clean and modern. I did think that the ad had said that there was a DVD player, but there wasn't. On the other hand, I had thought that there was no internet, but there was. The property manager was great to deal with. I had email issues on the way up and couldn't find the booking details and she sorted it out. She also organised the cleaner for us at short notice.

A great house to rent for the week. So close to the beach and surrounding attractions. The house was extremely well equipped with everything we needed and more. Very happy with our stay.

For us, the property was conveniently situated and extremely comfortable,and for only two of us was an over kill-but we enjoyed our stay. The house had everything we wanted and a whole lot more. The appliances were very up to date and easy to use. We especially liked the fact that there was no great string of do's and don'ts.
