Well organized and well equipped property. Particularly loved the little extras in the pantry that made it easy to make other meals (eg some flour, bicarb, baking powder, salt, pepper, oil, spreads etc).

Great house, good location

We really enjoyed our stay. The property had everything needed for a great winter getaway. The ski drying room worked great and the hosts were really helpful and approachable. The house was modern and well set up. We would stay again

Almost great

The property was clean, modern and in a good location for what we wanted. The only downside was the multiple notes and instructions around the house telling guests what NOT to do making the whole stay feel very unwelcoming. According to the instructions, the multiple rules seemed to all be liable to incur an additional charge if not followed and any less than positive or constructive feedback in the guest book was met with written reply from the owner which the guests would clearly never have a chance to read. Things like availability of toilet paper and towels were limited for the number of guests and days booked for and overall quality of linen, bedding and pillows was low. The guests i stayed with felt so uncomfortable that they walked around the house videoing it upon check out to ensure that no additional charges where unduly added. In a nutshell, it was an absolutely beautiful house and perfectly clean but due to the unwelcoming nature, we would not stay there again.

Thank you for your feedback, and the positive comments saying Our place was 'ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL' and 'PERFECTLY CLEAN.' I am sorry you felt unwelcome due to a few notes . These notes are to give the guests a standard guideline to help maintain a good level for future guests.. We do work hard to maintain this In our comments book which is for the "HOST 'keepsake we have only had nothing but positive glowing comments, There was one where I replied stating the fact, it was in no way negative. We hire our linen and we have not ever had a complaint. They are from a commercial company. . .

Perfectly appointed and located in Wanaka

This property was absolutely perfect for our 3 day ski trip to Cardrona and Treble Cone - located just about perfectly between the two ski resorts just off the main road - the location could not have been better. Lindsay and Nora contacted me with plenty of time to access the property and even followed up with us before we left Wanaka when we had inadvertently left a couple of things behind - thank you! The property was spacious, warm, and had a well appointed kitchen which was important for us as we had all our dinners at the house after full days on the mountain while we were there. The beds were comfy and the showers had plenty of warm water. It was a quick 5 minute drive into Wanaka and to hire our ski gear. Its a perfect place to base yourself to explore everything on offer in the region - whatever the season. I would definitely stay here again. :)
