The best part of this property was its location; 12 min. to Manitou Springs/Garden of the Gods, 16 min. to the Cog Railway, 5 minutes to the Olympic Museum, 5 min. to Walmart and a gas station; just to name a few.We enjoyed all the games provided at the house and it had a nice outdoor sitting area.Our trip was in early August. The house does provide air conditioning in the upstairs bedrooms only. The rest of the house was hot. A portable or wall-mounted air conditioning unit on each floor would make such a difference. The two box fans provided did not cut the muster.I recommend they hire a different cleaning service. The carpeted areas were vacuumed, but the hard floors were not clean. We found remnants from previous renters (ie, nail clippings and food) on both the upper and lower levels. Neither the refrigerator nor freezer was wiped out.The dishwasher wasn’t screwed into the counter so every time we pulled out a shelf, it fell forward on to the kitchen floor. No storage containers were provided in the kitchen. I stored our cut fruit in the stew pot, the only container with a lid. No Saran Wrap, no Kleenex, no oven mitts, no kitchen dishcloths/towels. The lighting was poor throughout the house but specifically in the main living area upstairs, the dining room, master bathroom and areas of the lower level.It wouldn’t take much to make the property so much better. But they have to want to.
