The overall experience was confusing.. not sure I would recommend. Oven does not work.. open house on the day/ weekend of our check the time overlapped into our check . Which resulted in the property not ready or clean for our arrival . The host became frustrated with my concerns and we were blamed for arriving time..

The website pictures do represent a beautiful interior tastefully decorated. However we experienced the following issues unacceptable for the rental cost. Hot Tub: one jet not working, no Defoamer, test strips indicated lack of maintenance, storage bin full of empty containers, TV not working and fall leaves not cleaned up. Fireplace not working, wine fridge temperature stuck at 26c, supplies missing, large stains on the living room couch, walkway down to lake is a trip hazard with the patio stones uneven and needing repair, poorly lit and dock needs repair.Cottage well equipped with remote controls which an instruction sheet would be helpful with battery backup. The property is for sale so perhaps the reason for lack of attention to guest’s expectation.

Hi there,We had a lovely stay. One thing I would have liked to be aware of was the closeness to the highway, and a few items that were advertised as features of the property were not working properly; hot tub, and stove. We did bring a Blackstone, so we were very lucky we had that, as not everything could go on the BBQ. Other than that, it had everything we needed.The lake was lovely and quiet, and the home/cottage was big enough for our family of 8 and grandson. One of the bedrooms is attached through a breezeway, so it gave their family added peace and quiet for the baby to sleep.There are a lot of uneven steps to the lake (42ish), which didn't pose as a big problem for us, but may be for someone, so just a good thing to know :)Cheers!

Perfect property to spend a wonderful two days with close friends. The house is well stocked and flush with amenities - kitchen has everything you might need to cook, huge TVs everywhere, new bbq, lots of towels, nice bedrooms with comfy beds, and so much more! Sadly we didn’t have good weather so we couldn’t make good use of the dock and amazing deck space but we will be back!

Weekend Stay in Port Carling

Beautiful property in Port Carling, right on the water. Plenty of space, well furnished and equipped with kayaks and paddle boards. AC not working, oven not working, patio umbrella broken and barbecue very dirty. Couldn’t find any garbage bags or paper towels. Otherwise had a fantastic time with friends thanks to Lux Muskoka!

The owner did not respond to my questions regarding the stay until the afternoon prior to check in to confirm the AC was not working. At that point there was no option to rebook. Upon check in we found that a few of the rooms were extremely hot and purchased a fan that the owner did not reimburse us for. At the end of our stay, technicians came to fix the AC unit and we learned that the electric water heater was leaking during our stay, due to this the hot water tank needed to remain off. For all of this inconvenience, travelling with elderly family members, the owner offered no

This property was beautiful and well laid out for enjoying with a group or family. Well appointed kitchen and entertainment options. Lots of tech. We had some issues below and communication was slow and frustrating with no resolve to fix or explaination how to work it. In general we felt there could be more instructions or notes for main things. Perhaps a small info booklet? Took a while to find remotes and few key things. Hot tub could have been warmer and water was below skimmer on arrival. But lovely access and entertainment. Couldn’t figure out patio lights on. Oven did not work. No manual found. Bbq unaccessible on arrival, frozen in ice. Had to use in place of no oven. Smoke detector was down without working battery in add on room. Spare linens for pullout couches never found.
