I hate to give this property a so-so review as there are some very nice things about it: its size, it has A/C, walkable to two beaches, fabulous upper deck with water view, plenty of parking and the owners left a list of some of their favorite places to go which I thought was very sweet (and their recommendations were good!), but for the price we expected something a little different. They seem to be in the middle of renovations (?) with some things done (upper deck, upstairs bedrooms and bath, much of the kitchen) and some things not (lower deck, refrigerator smelled awful and had a broken shelf on the inside door, the table top had cut marks and bubbles in the paint, the bath in the downstairs bedroom had broken tiles, a rusted drain pipe w/disconnected cover in the shower and a wobbly toilet. The dryer was rusted on top, and the latch to the outdoor shower was broken (one of us had the door blow open while showering, one got stuck inside and couldn't get out). As far as cleanliness, the couch has a lot of stains (thankful it was a dark color), and opened food, shampoo and conditioner, and a half used bar of soap were left for us, as well as a wet towel in the downstairs bath and dirty clothes in a drawer in downstair's closet. There's a bee hive right under the deck where the table is, and no ping pong table as listed in one of the descriptions of the property. With a little work this place could be spectacular. Real estate agents never responded when I sent them this info

Thank you for your feedback. Despite some issues, it sounds like you enjoyed the house which does have great views and a very short walk to Burton Baker Beach! This is Maggie and I apologize for not responding to the email you sent us following your departure. In the future, whether you rent from us or another agency, please always reach out with any issues you may encounter. Of course, we don't want you to encounter any issues, but most were minor repairs or cleaning issues and we would have taken care of them immediately! We provide all of our guests with a direct text number--the best and fastest way to reach us. We would have had a cleaner back over there and a handyman within a day. Again, we do appreciate your feedback and appreciate the opportunity to make any necessary fixes or improvements.

This house is in a beautiful and perfect location. Though the house had been somewhat renovated inside we felt that inside was very average and could’ve been cleaner. I feel for 7000 a week it deserved a little more attention to detail. We were told the gas grill igniter was not working but it was a very dangerous to operate safely ! It really should be repaired or replaced.
