St. Joseph's Kingsbridge Community (SJKC) is a registered charity with the goal of providing a large multi-use facility for the residents and visitors of rural Southwestern Ontario.
In 2012, the closure of St. Joseph's Kingsbridge Church left a large vibrant rural community without a venue to meet. SJKC was established to purchase the former church and rectory, to restore the historical buildings for community gatherings, performance opportunities, rural education, and rental options. The church has now become the Kingsbridge Centre and held its grand opening in August 2015.
SJKC believes in community involvement and rural revitalization, and is funded by contributions from individuals, corporations, foundations, associations and public agencies.
Your stay at Kingsbridge in the Country, the former Rectory, contributes to the overall operation of SJKC and the ongoing renovations to the Kingsbridge Centre.
The Kingsbridge Centre, which is located next door, opens each spring with an Easter celebration and finishes the season with a Christmas Eve celebration. Between those times, there are a variety of other events including; plays, music concerts, community dinners, family and community gatherings, card parties, and meetings being held in the Kingsbridge Centre. The support has been overwhelming.
We thank you for your stay at Kingsbridge in the Country!
