This home was very comfortable. Gorgeous views of the bay. We saw an eagle. Very private which we enjoyed. The dogs were also very comfortable there. We will definitely be returning.

The place was beautiful. The area was beautiful. The only thing is the mosquitoes were so bad. We couldn’t even sit outside and we bought bug spray, but it didn’t help but everything else was excellent peaceful quiet we seen eagles from the living room window. That’s the only thing I guess we can complain about was you you know not being able to sit outside but it was beautiful and peaceful. but it says it’s 16 miles from Bar Harbor but it’s not it’s much further, but there is a ferry you can take over there.

Steuben house

We had a wonderful time at the house, everything was provided that we could possibly need. The views were great, it was quiet and private, yet we were close enough to groceries store, shopping, etc. Acadia is only a hour away. The hosts made the stay very welcoming, house is beautifully furnished. Enjoyed the water close by and using the fire pit in the evening. Highly recommend you take advantage of this offering.

Beautiful location and the house for the most part was perfect. Just a few observations and suggestions. When we arrived in driveway there was a note on back door to use the front door, but the pathway to the door was so overgrown (with prickly bushes) it was hard to get through (we are in our 60's and 70's). For other guests I would suggest trimming the pathway at the very least. There was also four bags of trash left in the garage from previous guest that were getting smelly and had loads of flys. Normally we could ignore, but we had to use garage to get in and out because the pathway was overgrown. I called the contact who said they would inform the owner, but trash remained for entire stay. Last issue was holes in the screens. we aired out the house when we arrived and left for dinner. When we came home, there were lots of bugs because of the holes. One other very small suggestion - it would be nice to have cutting board. There was only an old flimsy plastic cutting sheet that was really unhealthy to use. Sorry for the complaints, but I hope this helps for future guests.

We're glad the location and most of the house worked well for you. We're sorry about the trash left in the garage - our longtime cleaner recently passed away and the new cleaning company wasn't aware garbage needed to be removed, so we've passed that feedback along for future cleanings. We weren't aware of holes in the screens, as no one had mentioned this in two years of renting the property, but we'll look into it, and we'll also order a new cutting board. As for the overgrown pathway, our lawn care team typically comes every two weeks, and we'll address the trimming with them on their next visit.

We really enjoyed this peaceful and rejuvenating getaway. The location was phenomenal, close enough to Acadia (about an hour) to have a full day of exploration at the park, yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle of other tourists. A short walk out the front door can lead you to a great location to search for sea glass! The kitchen is fully stocked and ready to feed your family. The outdoor grill was great! We traveled as a family of six and had plenty of room and really appreciated having two bathrooms. The beds were comfy and the house was clean. I would love to come back and spend a whole week at this location.

The location was good and the area was very quite. However the microwave did not work, the skylight in the master suite leaked on your head when it rained. The listing said you could park in the garage but when you got there the owner posted that you could not use the garage. To get to the front door you had to duck around all the overgrown bushes and weeds. The property would be great if you fixed all that was broken and clean up the outside.

The house was spacious, very clean, well supplied and comfortable. Issues with television service were addressed quickly and professionally and it was greatly appreciated. The location is a bit remote, but within reasonable driving distance to all amenities and it’s quiet and lovely.

This clean, comfortable property had a nice view and great yard. It worked well for us! Mosquitoes were terrible, so do plan accordingly with repellent, etc. The town boat landing is practically next door and the quiet country roads make for a great stroll or run. The garage is not available for use, but there’s plenty of parking in the driveway. Lovely garden, but could use maintenance for easier navigation of the walkway.
