The house was very nice and in a good location. It was about two miles to the beach and an easy drive on a bike for older teens and adults because you do have to drive on a fairly busy road. There are also some good things to do in Ocean View as well. There are some good restaurants and this house is very close to mini golf and ice cream. The house is well equipped with kitchen supplies as well as beach chairs and two beach cruisers. You can tell the host takes pride in the property and our family had plenty of room to spread out and relax.

Beautiful Relaxing Home

The place was perfect. It's close to the beach and all the activites associated with that, but is a short distance away so it's perfect for relaxing away from the busyness after a day at the beach.

For the most part, the house was clean. Bathroom, coffee pot needs attention. The ad reads nonsmoking. Which I abide by. That usually means in the house. However, it was the WHOLE property. As an older adult, I wanted to enjoy a scotch and a cigar by the outdoor fireplace on a cooler night. I was VERY disappointed that I couldn't. Had I known this information, I probably wouldn't have rented this unit. There were other hidden rules also.

We want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:– Smoking isn’t allowed anywhere on the property because the smell can linger and impact future guests’ experiences. We include our house rules in the listing and pre-stay so guests know what to expect, and we’re double-checking these to ensure they’re all clear.– We carefully inspect the property after the cleaners have finished to ensure everything is up to standard. We’ll be taking another look at the bathrooms and the coffee pot to make sure everything is in good shape for future guests. The homeowner takes pride in creating a welcoming environment for guests. Thank you for your feedback, and we’ll continue working together to provide a positive experience for all future visitors.
