Very Enjoyable South Bethany Beach Stay at a Wonderful Home

This is a wonderful home located in a very quiet and convenient neighborhood in South Bethany Beach, and the walk to the beach is close enough that during our entire stay, we did not even utilize the provided South Bethany Beach parking pass, as we did not need it. South Bethany Beach is very clean and not crowded at all, which was very nice. The area is very scenic with many trees, birds and other wildlife. Walking near the water was peaceful and there is plenty of areas to walk that are shaded. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of room for the 5 of us. Unlike many rentals that we have stayed in the past, you feel like you belong here and it reminds you of being in your own home in may aspects (a cozy warm relaxed feeling while you are there). We wished we could have stayed here longer than one week, as we all had a very nice time and the week passed very quickly by. We hope that we have the opportunity to stay here again in the future.

Good Vacation House

Overall the house was great. It had everything we needed and is walking distance from the beach but comes with a parking pass so you don’t need to walk if you don’t want to. The deck is in need of replacement. It didn’t seem safe to use. We have vacationed in South Bethany every year since I was born. The cleanliness was typical of all vacation rentals meaning the cleaners were probably there for about 20 minutes. That is not the owner’s fault. Just be prepared to do a little vacuuming and bathroom scrubbing yourself first.

I enjoyed staying here; 2 things- advertised as walking to beach possible. That walk is quite a stretch including crossing a busy road, so walking to beach is a no. Second thing, we had car parking pass. It would have been helpful to know they were only applicable in South Bethany (I got a ticket in Bethany). It was very helpful for owner’s response to questions, thank you!

Family Vacation

What a great vacation. The location is perfect to get to the beach and close by to restaurants and shops. If you bring a bike you can get around easily. The house was clean and had all the amenities we needed! Any communication I had with the owners was quickly answered and they were great to work with. We will most likely book again!!

Safe quiet neighborhood

The house met the details of the listing and had most of what we needed. Just a reminder that while the beds have blankets And pillows, they did not have sheets and there were no towels or wash cloths. Owners were responsive and helpful. Neighbors were great and the neighborhood was quiet. Close to the beach, 3 min drive or about 10ish walk.

Clean, Warm and Inviting

We loved the open feel of the kitchen. We could move around without bumping into each other and there is enough space to store groceries. The living room also has a welcoming vibe and very comfortable furniture. Bedrooms are spacious, beds comfy, slept soundly!!😴 We enjoyed our stay immensely!!

Lovely house

We had a great stay at this property. It was very close to the beach and not super crowded which was really nice. The house itself had all the accommodations we needed. Our kids loved the big swing under the porch. Communication with the owner was great. We will definitely consider staying here again!

Well loved family beach home

Overall we had a nice stay. You can tell the house is a well loved family beach home. Pros: -The location is great with a short walk to the beach. -Price is really great for the area with most places being way more expensive in South Bethany -Well appointed kitchen with everything you could need for cooking including oil and spices -house was clean -Beds were comfortable -Kids loved the swing under the house Cons: -Only main complaint is that the house has a very damp feel. Which also I think leads to a bit of a dingy smell to the house. A dehumidifier would likely help a ton.

Great place for a family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. House is exactly as described in the listing...you can't ask for anything more than that. Great value compared to the other rental options in the area. Walk to the beach was easy and South Bethany is a great place for a family. We would definitely rent Sandpiper Pines again.

The house was originally purchased by our mother in 1993, I believe. When mom retired, she made South Bethany her spring through fall retirement home. She passed away in 2004 and left the home to my siblings and me so that we could keep the tradition of gathering the grandchildren together. We had been renting it to close friends and friends of friends and decided to give VRBO a whirl. We work hard to keep up the house maintenance ourselves. It is very well-equipped and homey. This house is very special to us and we hope VRBO renters find it as special a place as we do.

At the time mom bought the house, the Delaware shore was virtually 'unknown' and she liked the quiet nature it afforded. She wanted a place where all the grandkids could gather and play, and this beach is perfect for that. We love the proximity to the beach itself and that it feels like a private beach. The towns of South Bethany and Bethany Beach take such wonderful care of the dunes and the shore. The beach has fewer restrictions on what you are allowed to do, but still there is a definite dedication by the residents and renters to keeping it clean and safe. The canals near our home and the bay provide a wonderful place to take a walk and spot a variety of birds and wildlife. There’s a bike path that runs along the neighborhood—perfect for a walk, run, or bike ride either north to Dewey Beach or south to Ocean City.

We love taking walks along the beach and often get to enjoy watching dolphins frolic in the water during those walks. Since the house is such a short distance to the beach, it makes it easy to come and go throughout the day – great when you have young children or just want a quick bite to eat. We enjoy the quiet and friendly aspect of the neighborhood. Depending on your mood and activity level, there are so many activities available in the Bethany Beach area, from reading a book on the beach to bike riding to parasailing and even surfing. At night when it is quiet, we can sometimes hear the ocean. Bethany Beach is such a lovely, beautiful place that it will make your time away from home so very special.
