A sweet space to share with friends and enjoy the new year. We had a little trouble figuring out how to set up the WiFi, but that was an easy fix and an otherwise delightful, easy stay.

The place was comfortable and clean. Host was friendly and responsive. It wasn’t clear that the hot tub was shared with another unit but is supposed to be exclusive to the rental. The carbon monoxide alarm went off at 4am, which was scary.

We're really glad to hear the home was clean and comfortable, and that the host was responsive during your stay. We also want to acknowledge the concerns you shared, and after speaking with the homeowner, they wanted to share the following:- The hot tub has a Jack-and-Jill style entrance, with access from both the guest space and a neighboring unit. Guests always have exclusive use during their stay, and we've now worked with the neighboring tenant to improve communication and ensure that exclusivity is clearly respected going forward.- We completely understand how alarming it must have been for the carbon monoxide detector to go off at 4 a.m. A technician inspected it right after your stay and confirmed the alert was due to a low battery. That’s now been replaced, and we’ve added a regular battery replacement schedule to help prevent this in the future.We appreciate your feedback so we can continue improving the guest experience!

We followed up with the owner, who would like to provide additional context regarding your stay: - During your visit, a county-wide power outage occurred over the Christmas holiday that was completely outside of the owner’s control and impacted the entire area. - Once it became clear that power would not be restored quickly, the owner worked to resolve the situation and ultimately provided a full refund for the stay. - The owner appreciates your feedback and will continue reviewing listing details to ensure future guests have clear expectations prior to arrival. We’re sorry for the inconvenience this situation caused and appreciate your understanding.

Wonderful Redwoods Experience Ever!

Our stay at "Redwoods Escape" was the absolute perfect destination for our Thanksgiving family trip! Traveling with our entire family, including our infant, and even our dogs was stress-free. The home is wonderfully pet-friendly and perfectly accommodating for everyone.The directions provided were incredibly clear and made for a stress-free arrival. The home itself is cozy, well-maintained, and perfectly situated among the trees. The amenities were top-notch—the cozy gas fireplace was a wonderful touch for chilly evenings. The private hot tub was an amazing highlight; while it temporarily went down, the property management was exceptionally responsive and had someone fix it immediately. This level of excellent service was truly appreciated!We also loved that the kitchen was fully stocked with excellent utensils and cooking basics (a huge help for a holiday meal!), and having a convenient, full-size washer and dryer unit was a great bonus. We had a memorable experience and highly recommend this lovely property for a tranquil and genuinely family-friendly escape!
