Welcome to 52Views, a private hilltop retreat with sweeping views over historic Castlemaine and its leafy surrounds.

52Views is a self-contained and spacious one bedroom retreat, offering a private driveway, entrance and garden with beautifully styled timber decking. While the exterior design enhances the original 1950’s style of the main house, the interior has embraced a modern style which echoes the calming natural tones of the landscape, accented by sleek lines and detail, with your comfort and relaxation as its primary consideration.

Take a deep and relaxing bath whilst gazing across the landscape, sink into the depths of the opulent king size bed, or read a book over a cup of tea on the deck. It’s all waiting for you.

If coming by train, its an easy, enjoyable trip well under 2 hours from Melbourne. We are only 500m from the station, and we’re happy to offer a lift if we’re around. Relax in your self-contained space and garden, or explore the vibrant Goldfields region. The town centre, Botanical Gardens and Mill Markets are all within walking distance.

And we are dog friendly too!

Meet Bev and Molly.

Having founded and owned a successful accommodation business in Melbourne for many years, Bev knows a thing or two about making guests feel comfortable and relaxed.

Bev’s family (husband Michael & adult son Jamie) moved to Castlemaine in 2015 and now happily call it home.

Bev and Molly love to walk in the bush and know many of the special places around town. They are very happy to share their ‘local’ knowledge with you.

Castlemaine is a vibrant town renowned for its thriving arts scene, and the broader Goldfields region has an abundance of beautiful outdoor spaces and places to unwind in and to explore. Its really well connected to Melbourne via the Calder Freeway or Vline trains which run every hour. But we find that we prefer to hang out in Castlemaine, enjoying our warm and friendly community, or a night out seeing a live band, one of our many restaurants, or a movie at the Theatre Royal

Our guests frequently comment that we have 'thought of everything', that our accommodation is spacious, the king bed gloriously comfy and a bathtub to die for. On top of all that, we are dog friendly and have a securely fenced private garden to enjoy, plus a deck overlooking the town views from our hilltop location
