Private Coastal Retreat ~ Walking Distance To Beach

Fully restored Romantic, Coastal, Arts and Crafts Style Cottage, originally built in 1918, one of a few cottages build on the coast. This rare retreat has been restored and designed by two generations of builders and interior designers. It was originally a painting studio and is now a very special coastal retreat with all the best modern amenities.

The Summer street cottage has an all redwood interior, 17 foot high vaulted ceilings, 180 degree ocean view. The cottage is furnished with comfort and luxury in mind for the ultimate get away. Located just 200 strides from the beach down Bumble Bee Path.

Wake up each morning to the sun streaming in the windows and fall asleep each night to the sound of waves and the warmth of two cozy fireplaces. Spend your days relaxing on the patio and upper deck overlooking the ocean. Make some memories under the outdoor trellis with mounted heaters. Fall asleep in one of the two sleeping areas one King and one queen size bed.

The beds, bedding and bathroom should be the best part of any rental experience. The beds are fit with down comforters and plenty of extra blankets for curling up and relaxing. The large bathroom has a soaker tub and large rain head shower with radiant heat floor all finished in Calacatta marble.

A one of a kind place for that special occasion. The cottage has been featured in the Travel section of the New York Times, 'Elegant Bungalows'.

You have your choice of drip coffee, Nespresso machine or french press. We provide a selection of treats, fresh butter and jam and of course a bottle of wine for your arrival. Grab an amazing loaf of fresh bread from Tomales bakery or the Dillon Beach market and enjoy.

Our stay at this unique and comfy Dillion Beach home was quite relaxing and enjoyable. The bed was super comfy, the hot tub set at just the right temperature, and the kitchen was easy to navigate and stocked well with good knives, wine glasses, silverware and dishes. We really enjoyed our stay and took every opportunity to walk the beach and relax in the outdoor area taking in the views. And soaking in the claw foot tub was fabulous. Simply lovely. And Linda the Home Host, was friendly and responsive. She made us feel most welcome to the home and to the Dillion Beach community.

The house is one of a kind! Attention to detail, high quality amenities and great care from Linda (caretaker) made this a memorable stay. Highlights were the fabulous hot tub and the stunning marble bathroom with a heated floor. Will definitely be back!

Excellent Stay

Surpassed our expectations. Dillon beach is great if you want to avoid the crowds. There is a General Store and small restaurant in walking distance. If you need gas you'll need to drive to Petaluma, Point Reyes Station or Bodega Bay.

Perfect Getaway

Cherried-out village cottage. Perfect for 1 couple. Great location and beach access, wonderful backyard, deck, and jacuzzi. Lovely beach vibe. Not the most affordable cottage in the village, but a worthy splurge.

Perfect location, incredible views. Every detail is top shelf. The cottage is artistically fabulous and VERY romantic! Beautiful large garden/patio. It is even better than it looks on the VRBO site!

Great house

Great little house for the weekend. Very cozy, and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Great location. Views were amazing from master and back patio and deck. Construction noise from the house next door was disturbing Friday evening and all day Saturday.

Birthday getaway!

The house was absolutely beautiful, just as pictured. The beds are super comfy And the views from the upstairs and downstairs are both beautiful. The check-in was a little weird. I’ve stayed at lot of vacation rentals both For personally use and business that being said none of the check in’s have been has invasive, but Linda was nice. Some of the rules regarding guest, stopping by were a little odd to me. But neither the less it was just me and my husband, so it didn’t really infringe on our stay. But I would keep in mind if you Are looking to stay here I would keep it a couple situation. The ocean is such a short and quick walk down and the general store and restaurant are just a few blocks away. We really enjoyed our stay and the amenities at this house had! Great property.
